Canada is pulling funds from groups still searching for alleged bodies buried at Indigenous residential schools funded by Catholics and other Christians.
An organization and a committee of experts formed to search for the elusive remains have both lost funding in the past month, following four years of searches that have found zero remains. The Survivors’ Secretariat and the committee both say they have lost funding this year, the CBC reported.
One of the committee’s founding members, Crystal Gail Fraser, told the outlet in mid-February that the National Advisory Committee on Residential Schools Missing Children and Unmarked Burials would have to stop operating when its current funding agreement expires at the end of March.
Around the same time, the leader of Survivors’ Secretariat, Laura Arndt, told the CBC that funding for her nonprofit was also cut, though she believes the cut was due to criticism of the liberal government.
..The committee and organization’s entire existence is based on the notion that hundreds of children were killed at residential schools and buried in unmarked graves – a narrative that has seemingly fallen apart. The initial claims in 2021 led to apologies, riots, and the vandalism or burning of 55 Canadian churches,
The narrative began to fall apart in early 2022, less than a year after it made national headlines, the preliminary report on the remains was “based on depressions and abnormalities in the soil of an apple orchard near the school – not on exhumed remains,”

And how many millions, or Billions of dollars spent???
This is like the slander of Irish nuns at the orphanage, 800 dead babies in a cesspool, etc.
Then it all fell apart.
But in the meantime, this slander caused 33 churches to burn in Canada.
And this slander happened in 2022 so that idiot Taylor Sheridan made sure to include it prominently in his “1923” show that came out that same year.
But hey, how aboot that hockey team, eh?
Oh, I shoulda read the article...$320 Million.
In the unhappy event that he makes it out of the hospital, does this mean Pope Francis will retract his shameful, groveling apology?
Canadian government sponsored blood libel against whites.
And here's a photo of globalist, woke (and pro Ukraine war) tw@t Justin Dildo, virtue-signaling at one of the imaginary gravesites
Tulsa race war.
I’ll bet the price of white guilt is pretty dang steep.
People just don’t know how to use prepositions any more. Cut funds to, spend funds on.
10,000 buried in serbia,someplace..isn’t that what Cartoon was pushing?
The researcher in question was about to lose her grant, so she made this up out of whole cloth to keep the grant going.
Probably an even chance of that than a retraction by the scores of people in these forums who fell for the story hook, line, and sinker because they are more than ready to rush to believe every evil assertion about the Catholic Church. You know who you are.
And all they found were rocks setting off the ground radar.
The same exact thing has happened here in Oklahoma. After years of searching cemeteries for mass graves allegedly holding the remains of 1000s of blacks allegedly murdered during the Tulsa race riot of 1921, no such mass graves have been found. They have searched with ground penetrating radar and other such equipment, yet no mass graves have been found. But they still claim 1000s were murdered. Yes, terrible things happened, and a few whites and blacks were killed, but they have no proof it was 1000s. And while their failed searching would seem to disprove their assertions, they keep making their claims.
I don’t get this. Why would they think there’d be “alleged bodies buried at Indigenous residential schools”?
When you think of “nice” (i.e., passive aggressive) Canadians, remember this story and all the Church burnings that resulted and were not seriously investigated.
Just begs the question...how you could audit this and come to 10,000 expense lines...worth $300-M. Hotel expenses, wind and beverage costs, rental vans?
I suspect if you dug into this...money-laundering involved.
