Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s (RFK Jr.) appointment as Secretary of Health and Human Services has captured national attention, sparking both hope and debate. With the responsibility of guiding the nation’s health policies during a time of division and uncertainty, RFK Jr. faces a monumental task. As the nation watches closely, this is a moment for prayer—a call for divine guidance, wisdom, and unity to lead with compassion and integrity

FWIW today Clay and Buck said they are positive he will be confirmed.
Ever notice how dems never SOLVE a problem. They just get mad that someone else would TRY.
I wonder which senator paid Caroline to do what she and Jack did.
Here is what Tillis GOP NC did.

Lord, the federal gov’t’s interference with healthcare is blatantly unconstitutional. The Constitutional has enumerated no such power to the feds. Please remove this and all unconstitutional federal activity and agencies, and put the federal gov’t under the limitations of the Constitution that America may once again be a Free Constitutional Republic. In Jesus name. Amen.
Amen.
Praying. I cannot believe I am praying for the confirmation of a Kennedy. 😀
Father, confound the enemy on their and our behalf, in the Name of Jesus, we pray. LORD, we know that like the rest of us, none of these candidates are perfect. But we also know that You are able to use these men and women to perform your will. Thank you, LORD. Amen.
Strange times INDEED. RFK Jr. does seem to be a decent sort; he has shown unabashed willingness to work hand-in-hand with DJT47. Which surprised me to no end. And to be willing to take the flak of the self-appointed royalty that is his family, no less.
Ditto. On a wing Mr. Kennedy. Please do US proud.
Newsmax just reported that Fetterman said he opposes RFK’s confirmation based on today’s hearing.
Not good news.
“RFK Jr. does seem to be a decent sort”
Seems that way. He seems to be a true believer in his hyper, almost obsessive, focus on this healthcare problem. I don’t get the feeling that it’s self serving in any way.
I truly hope so. I am so d..n tired of political hucksters never following through with ANYTHING they say. I am TIRED of backroom deals and Reconciliation budgets that NEVER do anything to help the American people. I am DAMN TIRED of America being put last by those who are supposed to serve it. Did I tell you, I AM TIRED? I need a nap.
I’ve been praying.
Why? Do we need his vote? Do we have that many redcoats announced already?
IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE THIS CENTURY, READ GUY MILLER’S “MEDICAL MAGNUM OPUS” LEADING OFF THIS EDITION OF HIS ALWAYS THOUGHT PROVOKING NEWS COMMENTARIES! THIS ONE IS OUT OF THE PARK...AND STILL AIRBORNE. RAB
In his introductory remarks before the Senate confirmation hearings today, RFK, Junior raised a two-part question: Why are American health expenditures phenomenally higher than anywhere else in the world, and why are Americans’ health outcomes so miserably poor?
The answer to the first question is obvious. There is a huge portion of the American workforce and economy devoted to divvying up the indescribably large pot of money commanded by the medical-industrial complex.
All of these beneficiaries — Big Pharma, hospitals, medical associations, medical schools functioning as subsidiaries of Big Pharma, health management conglomerates, nurses’ unions — are committed to ensuring that their meal ticket at the public trough should continue forever. Too many people are living off the medical money sloshing around.
The answer to the second question is that there is no viable business model based on keeping Americans healthy. The money is made, especially in the field of Highly-Processed Foods, by making the population chronically sick, and perpetuating their medical misfortunes to the end of their miserable lives. RFK, Junior noted that 80% of medical expenditures in the country go toward treatment of chronic illnesses.
In the medical profession it is common knowledge that the most profitable patient, by far, is a dying child. There are no limits to how much money can be poured into sustaining the life and prolonging the inevitable death of a terminal child. The American medical establishment has no interest at all in preventing chronic illness. You can’t get rich on healthy patients.
The business model is to encourage patients to become chronically ill, and then to milk their suffering through to the bitter end. That’s how Big Pharma earns their big bucks, and why they subsidize medical schools to focus on treatment, rather than prevention, of bad health.
The medical associations and the state medical boards bring unbearable pressure against their subjects to adhere to this model. We observed this so tragically during the recent insanity, where doctors and pharmacists trying to promote prevention and cure were systematically devastated by threats and losses of state-issued licenses. State licensing boards function as organized criminal racketeers.
The medical-industrial complex will not tolerate prevention or cures for the ailments which they find so lucrative to perpetuate. President Trump has nominated RFK, Junior to be the Secretary of Health and Human Services for the nation, in order to turn this business model around.
The big money lobbies that control Congress are out in force to destroy President Trump’s nominee. RFK, Junior does not appear to have the poise or command presence that previous Trump nominees demonstrated in the face of savage, relentless attacks by snarling Democrat senators. It looks as if he has become flustered with the Democrat tactics intended to discredit him.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt in my mind that he is the right man for the job, as proven by all the viciousness coming from the vested interests who own the Democrat Party. The only question, going forward, is whether President Trump can maintain tight enough rein on the RINO Senators intent on bringing him down.
North Carolina RINO Senator Thom Tillis was somehow persuaded in the last 60 seconds of voting on the Secretary of Defense nomination, to change his promised rejection of Pete Hegseth into an AYE vote. LBJ knew how to strong-arm Congress to get what he wanted. That is a lesson Donald Trump needs to apply.
Ahead still lies the confirmation process for Tulsi Gabbard and Kash Patel. Every Democrat in the Congress and the Senate can be guaranteed to deploy everything in their power to destroy these threats to their gravy train. But the American electorate decisively voted to empower Donald Trump to execute his agenda.
As I said yesterday, the bayonet fighting will continue apace. All the vested big money interests determined to perpetuate their fat living are arrayed against the agenda of one man who is not owned by these same interests. It will be a fight to the death.
