On 16 January, the anti-Catholic Jorge Scheinig, Archbishop of Mercedes-Lujan, Argentina, announced in an unsigned document - "even in this they are cowards" (Caminante-Wanderer) - that Francis' Dicastery for the Clergy had dismissed Don Alejandro Gwerder from the clerical state for alleged offences against "obedience and communion".
The same dicastery that takes decades to convict sexual abusers, or pardons them once convicted, that remains impassive while priests commit the most flagrant acts against obedience and communion in the Church - by preaching heresies, presiding at blasphemous liturgies and blessing homosexual sin -, dares to condemn a faithful priest, comments Caminate-Wanderer.
Caminate has known Don Gwerder for many years: "I can testify that he has always been a priest totally dedicated to the service of Christ and his Church. And what I am saying is not a cliché, but pure reality".
"For as long as I have known him, he has had the constant virtue of resisting the attacks he has periodically received for his dedication. And worst of all, those who attacked him were the 'good guys'".
With his gentleness and humility, and with his fidelity to the Church's teaching, he always attracted many of the faithful.
His liturgies, his missions, his schools, his youth groups were always the most crowded, the most enthusiastic, the ones that brought together the best of each of the places to which he was sent.
This arouses envy, especially among bishops and priests whose ideological propaganda attracts no one.
Don Gwerder was for years the pastor of the Inmaculada Concepción in Rawson, a small town in the heart of the humid pampas of Buenos Aires.
In his small neo-Gothic church, he tried to restore the liturgy of the Novus Ordo. He also celebrated the Mass of all centuries. It is from this temple that the annual pilgrimage of Our Lady of Christianity departs.
But in 2019, Francis named the anti-Catholic Jorge Scheinig as Archbishop of Mercedes-Luján, "one of the worst that Francis' pontificate has produced" (Caminante-Wanderer). The Way of the Cross of Don Gwerder began.
A few years later he was expelled from his parish and left without pastoral responsibility.
Scheinig initiated a canonical process accusing Don Gwerder of "disobedience" to the many heresies introduced by Francis.
In the meantime, the courageous priest continued to carry out his ministry, attracting crowds to his Sunday Masses, which he celebrated in a country house provided by a family.
Unlike most parishes in the archdiocese, Father Gwerder's masses are attended by large numbers of the faithful of all ages and social classes. This infuriates his colleagues and arouses envy.
So the alleged "laicisation" will not change much. Don Gwerder will continue to work for the kingdom of God and Jorge Scheinig for the kingdom of the devil.
Can't have any priests offering the TLM in Francis' "Synodal Church" where all are welcome, except traditional Catholics.
Scheinig is a Frankenbishop, ordained in 2017.
And yet Fr. James Martin and other scumbags like him remain “in good standing”.
