Our God, Lord of All The Earth!
You Are LORD over all Your Creation,

You Created Matter and Energy,

You designed the Laws of Physics
You Can Make The Waters of the Sea

Most of my copies of Handel's Messiah are on CD. What takes up four sides of Vinyl takes two CD's. CD 1 usually ends with the Solo Aria "He Was Despised and Rejected", a very heart rending interpretation of Isaiah 53.

Nothing "burns my toast" as much as Betrayal. I suppose we all have our "buttons", but when THAT one gets pushed, it really hurts me. When somebody I trusted, prayed for, nurtured, or loved, turns around and stabs me in the back, I find it very hard to forgive. I really need to work on that...Help Me LORD!

That being said, I can't even imagine the sense of betrayal when God's Grace is refused. That kind of rejection is cosmic.

Accepting God's Grace is difficult. Most of us see the qualities of Hard Work, Self-Reliance, and Personal Responsibility as positive traits. They are, in the World. They are the traits that help build and maintain Civilization and keep things running. One wishes that elected officials subscribed to these qualities rather than constantly blaming everybody else for their failures.

What works for the World, however, is not what works in the Spiritual Realm. There is no way one can work for God's Grace. One either accepts a Gift, or rejects it.

And THAT takes Humility.

Lord, help me remember that You, too, were despised and rejected and betrayed. You know how it feels!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
