Prayer Request (Vanity)
Posted on 12/18/2024 12:36:12 AM PST by dadfly
i'm requesting prayer for my 95 year old mom. she broke her hip (very common i know) and had successful surgery (praise God) but is having trouble waking enough for therapy which is necessary for her complete recovery. the medical problem is complicated by dementia. please pray that she becomes alert enough as she recovers to receive her physical and speech therapy, and get released form the hospital with me so i can continue her care at home.

Father God. thank You for my mom's progress so far. help me to remember that You and Your Will is all that matters for a believer in matters of health--especially when it seems every doctor in the hospital 'committee' is trying to set my 'expectations.' guide me in my words as i strive to encourage them to do their best for my mom, and not overly concern themselves with the obvious negatives for my mom's prognosis. help me to set a positive and optimistic attitude as i direct them in her care. help me to be patient and answer all of the various doctors questions honestly and with love and patience. i ask again that You glorify Yourself, and if it is Your will, show these doctors again that You are the Great Physician by granting her healing and some mobility. and please grant me a testimony of love and healing for my mom, creating a Christian example for these secular doctors. however, always let Your Will be done. it is written the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. if You decide that her time here is up, i ask you to take her to Yourself. i Praise and thank You for the long life she's had and the time i've had with her on this earth. in the Holy Name of Him who gave His life for us, taking our sins upon His sinless, perfect Self. amen.

Praying for Your Mother, You and the entire Family.
Take it slow and easy to help Her through this. Start with one step at a time and build from there, make it 2 steps on the next day then 3, etc.
Think of it like eating an Elephant- 1 bite at a time and eventually the meal will be over.
The hardest part is going to be dealing with the Dementia Factor, I speak from experience on that. Try to adapt to Her train of thought and don’t get Her upset trying to make Her “pop” back into reality because it will just make everyone stress out even worse.
Hang in there 🤪🙏

FATHER GOD,
Thank you for Your only Son JESUS CHRIST Who won the victory over sin and death. By His stripes we were healed.
Draw close to Dadfly and his mother. Awaken her mind so she can understand directions in order to receive therapy.
Give her renewed strength. Allow her to speak clearly.
You can do anything. Nothing is impossible with You.
We ask for a creative miracle...that her hip will respond like a natural hip.
Bless Dadfly. Give him Supernatural strength to do the task at hand.
In JESUS Name we pray. AMEN

Father, Almighty God, We come to You asking for continued healing for Dadfly’s mother’s mind and body. May this be a time of testimony for the family . . .the life that they shared all these years and their faith and trust in You. Please give Dadfly’s mother comfort and strength showing the medical staff that You are in charge. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Cherish the wonderful memories of your Mother.
