Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem (12/17/24)[Prayer]

Names and Titles of God the Holy Spirit
(Intercessor) Romans 8:26

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Father In Heaven,
How Hallowed is Your Most Wonderful Name!
We Love You With Our Whole Heart
With Our Whole Soul
With Our Whole Strength
And With Our Whole Being.
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship
You Alone Are The One True Holy and Righteous God.
Rock of All Ages,
Our Creator,
You Have Made Us,
and All That Is.
Teach us Day by Day
That it is Not by Might,
Not by Power,
But By Your Spirit That We Shall Overcome.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Yesterday, I was driving to work around 2:30PM, and taking a Right Turn, when something over my left shoulder caught my eye. It was a powerful light in the sky at about ten o'clock, hovering over Hingham, MA. From my vantage point, it looked like dime-sized, so it wasn't a celestial object like a star or the moon. The light was steady, so it wasn't an airplane or helicopter. I knew it had to be one of those "drones" that have been in the NEWS. I was so distracted that I almost took the turn too wide and quickly avoided ending up in the wrong lane.

My mind started racing. Should I report it? To whom would I report it? What could anyone do about it anyway? WHO is responsible for this? Will people think I'm nuts? And so on. Then I realized that I should keep my eyes on the road, and my mind on my job. Lest you think my "Drone Sighting" has NOTHING to do with our Series on The Holy Spirit, keep reading.

I kept thinking that I would be wrapping up this particular topic before the end of the year, but every morning as I prepare, something new about The Holy Spirit pops up. If you thought He was mentioned a lot in the Old Testament, you probably observed that the New Testament far surpasses the Old for citations. Paul is especially excited about The Holy Spirit, and mentions Him again and again in his Letters to the Young Churches scattered across Southern Europe and the Middle East. Here in the Eighth Chapter of his Letter to The Romans, Paul gives us yet another aspect of The Holy Spirit's Role in Our Lives, that of Intercessor.

Even the most Faithful Christian sometimes has trouble with prayer. Distractions like Worries, Speculation, Questions, Concerns, and even Fatigue hover around like sinister drones, distracting and diverting our attention from God.

Sometimes we don't even know who or what requires prayer. But The Holy Spirit knows. Some of our prayers are directed by Scripture, for example, this Daily Thread, which comes from an admonition in Psalm 126. Scripture also tells us to Pray for Those in Authority. Of course we want to pray for our Loved Ones, and for Peace. But then, the "drones" come by and distract even the most eloquent of prayers.

The Holy Spirit helps us "keep our eyes on the road" when we pray. The Holy Spirit knows who needs prayer at any particular time. He knows when you need to pray a certain way. He even provides the words you need at that particular moment, which even you don't really understand. He is the One Who Intercedes with prayers too deep for words.

Drones can't touch this!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Amen. We intercessors are so grateful for this ministry of the Holy Spirit, aren’t we? To come away from a time of prayer, knowing that we have received instruction on how to pray the targeted prayer that will accomplish God’s will is invigorating.

Amen !!! <><

Psalm 115

1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness.
2 Why should the nations say,
‘Where is their God?’

3 Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases.
4 Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
5 They have mouths, but do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
6 They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
7 They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
they make no sound in their throats.
8 Those who make them are like them;
so are all who trust in them.

9 O Israel, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.
10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.
11 You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.

12 The Lord has been mindful of us; he will bless us;
he will bless the house of Israel;
he will bless the house of Aaron;
13 he will bless those who fear the Lord,
both small and great.

14 May the Lord give you increase,
both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.

16 The heavens are the Lord’s heavens,
but the earth he has given to human beings.
17 The dead do not praise the Lord,
nor do any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord
from this time on and for evermore.
Praise the Lord!

I’m going to use this in a nursing home presentation. I like. (Probably won’t be bringing up the drone situation - smile)
