Our Father Who Art in Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Name!

I have an early appointment tomorrow, so, once again, I am writing tomorrow's Thread tonight.

In Jerusalem, there is a little corner called "Mount Zion". Crowded into a small space are buildings, a Synagogue, a Church, a Tomb purported to be that of King David, and a Medieval Structure called "The Upper Room". This room has alternately been a church, a mosque, a church again, and now, a tourist stop. Two busloads of our tour group crowded into the room. Whether or not this structure was built on the site of the actual Upper Room, it really doesn't matter. The presence of the Believers in that space was what made it holy, not the authenticity of the site. But, because we were standing together in the traditional site of the Day of Pentecost, we prayed and sang, and it seemed as if the room was shaking. Our Guide Avi remarked Well, there is some controversy over whether this is the actual place, of the Upper Room, but after today, I think it probably IS."

Today's brief little Passage tells us a lot about The Holy Spirit. It says that a group of Believers who are fervently praying together with such passion that the actual place in which they were assembled shook. Then the believers are emboldened to go out and preach the Gospel with Boldness. The Holy Spirit is in the role of "Encourager". He responds to the prayers of the Faithful by giving them courage and boldness to Stand for Truth.

Whatever room, in whatever city you are in, the Holy Spirit can make it the real "Upper Room".

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
