Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Abba Father!
The Earth is Yours, and The Fullness Thereof.
It is You, and Only You,
Who Designed it All,
From the Tiniest Quark to the Most Massive Singularity in Space!
This is Your Creation,
Your Artwork,
Your Splendor,
Out Your Infinite Imagination,
That You have Created For Your Glory and Pleasure.
You Are So Awesome!
What can we do Except Exclaim,
"How WONDERFUL YOU ARE!"
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

As you may have noticed, we have finished the references to the Holy Spirit in the Book of Luke, and are now in the Book of John. We've been here almost a week, and are still only in Chapter 3. This is going to take a while.
The Four Evangelists present the same Story, each from their own unique perspectives. Matthew peppers his narrative with quotes from the Septuagint, and uses Scriptural references to make his case for the Messiah to the Jewish People. Like the Tax-Collector he once was, Matthew has kept all his receipts, 1099's, and W2's to prove that the Claim of Jesus is, not only legitimate, but backed up by the Law and the Prophets. He even opens his story with the Genealogy of Jesus to show His Lineage going all the way back to King David. His emphasis was on the Christ as the Fulfillment of the Promise of God.
Mark's Gospel is the briefest one of the Four. It reads like a News Report. Right off the bat, Mark gives a report: Who, What, When, and Where. Just the facts, Ma'am. Because of this some scholars say that, while Matthew wrote for the Jews, Mark wrote his report for the Romans. His Report emphasizes the Reality and Fact of the Life of Jesus. He mysteriously inserts a story of a lad running from the Garden of Gethsemane so quickly that he leaves his clothes behind. A lot of people think that the boy is Mark himself.
Luke was a Physician, an Artist, and Poet, who was a faithful companion of St. Paul. I call him a Poet, because his Prose, in Greek, is so elegant and uses phrases that are more Classical Greek than everyday language. Luke looks at things as a doctor would, involving childbirth, healings, and the Human Condition with compassion and sensitivity. We will hear more from Luke when we get to the Book of Acts, because he wrote that too. His emphasis is on the Humanity of Jesus, and his target audience seems to be the Greeks and Hellenistic Jews.
Finally, we come to John. John lived longer than all of the other Evangelists, and we have four Bible Books attributed to him: The Gospel of John, Three Letters, and The Book of Revelation. All of these emphasize the Divinity of Jesus, and therefore, have a lot of things to say about the Holy Spirit.
Today's Scripture passage occurs during the late night conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus. Nicodemus was a Pharisee and a Scholar, and probably knew the Scriptures by heart. Yet Jesus still had to instruct him on the difference between the Flesh and The Spirit. Just as any form of life gives birth to the same species (a cat has kittens, not puppies!), the works of the flesh, no matter how holy-looking, doesn't give birth to the spirit. The New Birth can't be "conjured up" even by doing all the right things.
We hope that Nicodemus went away from that meeting enlightened and born anew. I think he did, because he couldn't have asked for a better Teacher. Remember, Jesus was the One who said:
"Seek, and ye shall find; Knock and the Door will be opened to you."
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 64
To the leader. A Psalm of David.
1 Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint;
preserve my life from the dread enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,
from the scheming of evildoers,
3 who whet their tongues like swords,
who aim bitter words like arrows,
4 shooting from ambush at the blameless;
they shoot suddenly and without fear.
5 They hold fast to their evil purpose;
they talk of laying snares secretly,
thinking, ‘Who can see us?*
6 Who can search out our crimes?*
We have thought out a cunningly conceived plot.’
For the human heart and mind are deep.
7 But God will shoot his arrow at them;
they will be wounded suddenly.
8 Because of their tongue he will bring them to ruin;*
all who see them will shake with horror.
9 Then everyone will fear;
they will tell what God has brought about,
and ponder what he has done.
10 Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord
and take refuge in him.
Let all the upright in heart glory.
