It appears the church had a minister who sinned a long time ago at the church. The church board removed him.
This lady had some additional concerns, and she had a multi-hour-long meeting with a church pastor and elder. Within hours she was trashing the church on social media. Doesn’t seem like she spent much time in reflection and prayer nor discussing it with other church members or family before trashing the church. She then calling the press after getting kicked out.
I wouldn’t want to be associated with her.

I’m sure there is more to this story that we know of.
However with that said I get the feeling more abuse stories will come out in the future.
The Church, whether good or bad, has the right as a private entity, to trespass anyone

This would be The Church, as an organization, a legal entity.
But “The Church” is not that, it is the believers, as a body.
The Bible does not have ‘Tax exemption status’, ‘non profit’, charitable giving exemptions, Govt. control of members....etc.

That happened to my father in the late ‘50s. She and her husband wanted him to leave the pastorate, so set up a trap for him — she needed help, and could he come right away?
Something felt hinky, so he called one of the deacons to go with him. There she was in her night clothes so her husband conveniently could find Dad there. The joke was on them; they left the church, along with a few members of their extended family.
There’s a lot going on here ... the lack of financial transparency, and the bad hiring decisions (really? a pedo heading the prison ministry?) are the real problems. The armed guards, disfellowship and trespassing of an inquisitive member are downstream

I should add, if true, a church saying they are worth $500 million is troubling. In reality, any church preaching the Gospel is priceless. I am not endorsing this church by any means, since I don’t have enough actions. However, her actions, by her own words, seem to condemn her.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the fired minister abused others in the distance past. If nothing comes up recently, what do you want the church to do? They may need to implement stronger safeguards, but they may have already done so in the past. It wasn’t soon enough to catch these old actions.

You know he does. By the time these guys are caught they at least have 100 victims. It’s just a matter of time before they all start talking.
Thing about it is people around him knew and covered it up. Everywhere he went and did this people knew and covered it up.
Today it’s this church, tomorrow it’s your all’s church. What you all going to do? Will you be like this woman? I hope every one of you are and speak out.

Two different issues in two lanes.
In lane one, you have the issue of sin and church integrity. It could be, as often is, violators and their buddies need rebuke.
In lane two, the church government controls private property and assets, and they can make people leave as they choose, whether lane one is being addressed or not.
The church of Israel killed the Christ. Why should it be any different now. This woman was persecuted for Righteousness sake, which Jesus said would happen.

Church’s have been co-opted by sin for some time. It is why I don’t attend church anymore. I am still a Christian, but I don’t attend regular church services anymore.
