The Irish government has promised to set up an official investigation to examine historical abuse in religious-run day and boarding schools in light of “appalling” abuse accounts.
The announcement comes as an initial 802-page, five-volume Scoping Inquiry report from the Irish government revealed that 2,395 allegations of abuse had been made in 308 schools between 1927 and 2013. The total number of allegations is believed to be far higher. The allegations were made against 884 abusers. It is believed that half of them have died.
The Scoping Inquiry was set up in the aftermath of a 2022 radio documentary called Blackrock Boys, which revealed how extensive abuse took place at the Spiritan-run Blackrock College in Dublin.
“I am announcing today that the government has accepted the principal recommendation of the Report of the Scoping Inquiry, which is for the establishment of a Commission of Investigation,” Minister for Education Norma Foley said Sept. 3. “Historical sexual abuse is a profoundly serious matter and needs to be examined in detail. The Report of the Scoping Inquiry is a harrowing document, containing some of the most appalling accounts of sexual abuse.
The Scoping Inquiry, written by senior counsel Mary O’Toole, contains extensive accounts of sexual abuse, rape, and sexual assault.
Some of the “harrowing” allegations mentioned by Foley concerned schools for disabled pupils.
The Catholic Education Partnership, which represents the entire Catholic education community across Ireland, acknowledged “the significance of this report, the grave harm caused to survivors and their families, and those who suffered but are no longer with us.” Lamenting the safeguarding failings, the partnership denounced the “gravely dysfunctional and abusive education system with respect to child safeguarding.”
“It is painfully clear that children and the trust of their families were betrayed in the most devastating of ways,” the partnership added.

The marxist cultural revolution against the Catholic Church (and thus Christianity) continues.
this goes hand-in-hand with everything else going on in Ireland today.
This will be the third major inquiry into abuse and coverup by the Church in Ireland after the Ryan and Murphy reports

Thank you for that.
“The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.” - Wm. Shakespeare
Abuse of any sort is inexcusable. Yet it’s also undeniable that these religious did an admirable job of educating the masses, setting the stage for Ireland’s 20th century rise from poverty to wealth.
Why not investigate abuse by movie producers, college professors, primary and secondary teachers in non-Catholic schools? And finally why not investigate abuse by civil servants and elected officials for the past 40 years or so?
Will they also investigate abuse in state-run schools?
Let's do that math. After this Gov't grand inquisition, they have come up with an average of 27.8 "allegations" each year, across reported 308 schools. So that's one abuse "allegation" per school, approx. every 11 years. As you point out, Catholic schools were the large majority of education in Ireland in the previous century - so this is across many millions of students.
Any sexual abuse is bad, of course. I attended Catholic schools in the 1970s ad 1980s, and the only sexual abuse charges I ever heard of were due to homosexual priests - and statistics bear this out.
So the Church spinelessly first accepted (and turned a blind-eye) to prevailing post-modern cultural norms, and allowed homosexuals in the seminaries. Now Satan and his globalist Neo-marxists, are making them pay a double-indemnity, by politically and financially destroying them for this lapse.
As mentioned, this is pure marxist cultural revolution against the pillar of traditional Irish nationhood - the Catholic Church. Once this is taken down, Ireland will be a wasteland to be remade "unburdened by what has been."
The work of marxist destruction proceeds apace. Ireland is almost entirely transformed - politically, culturally, racially.
In my diocese, we have had a number of Irish Catholic priests come as missionaries to our country. They gave up a lot to come here. Now as the approach retirement, none are returning to Ireland, not even those with family back there.
They all explain their decision the same way: “Ireland isn’t Ireland any more.”
So many different ways to heaven.
wait, wrong article?
I am reminded of all those mass graves reported in Canada, causing churches to be burned all across the nation.
Problem was, when they dug into those mass graves there were not mass graves at all. So “Mass Graves” has now been downgraded to “Unmarked graves.” Unmarked because the wooden markers had rotted away.

https://nypost.com/2022/05/27/kamloops-mass-grave-debunked-biggest-fake-news-in-canada/
Now the shrill voices declaring “MASS GRAVES!” are now blaming it on the Canadian News Media for running with the story.
Maybe there’s abuse. Maybe there’s a WEF sponsored program to take out Christianity.
good! I remember the movie about the nun-run Irish laundries.
Was that the one about the completely FAKE story of the Tuam Mother's Home in Galway, with nuns burying babies in septic tanks while running a virtual prison camp for destitute women, which turned out be all lies?
There's been so much bulls** and propaganda, its hard to keep up
I don’t think so, it was the Magdalene Laundries.
Wait until the “newcomers” get their grooming gangs going.
Nope...not "almost". Just entirely! Remember, until recently they had an Indian faggot as "Prime Minister". And for the record the transformation is entirely thanks to the European Union,a hornets' nest of Marxists,Maoists and anarchists. And those Marxists,Maoists and anarchists are well on the way to transforming Poland and Hungary, which have been EU members for a lot less time than Ireland.
