Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem (8/14/24)[Prayer]

Names and Titles of God the Holy Spirit ( The Spirit of Knowledge and Fear of the Lord) Isaiah 11: 1-3
11 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Most Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship and Praise,
For You Alone Are The One True God,
Almighty and Eternal,
Glorious and Transcendent,
Rock of Ages,
Ancient of Days,
King of Kings,
and Lord of Lords!
Thank You, LORD,
For giving us Your Light,
Thank You For Illuminating the Truth.
Thank You For Shining Your Light Upon Us,
And filling our hearts with Your Glorious Light.
And When the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy,
Thank You For turning on your Light,
And Exposing all that is not the truth!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Today is our third look at this amazing Scripture Passage about the Holy Spirit. There are, in fact, Seven Names for the Holy Spirit in this Old Testament Verse. We start with the Name The Spirit of The Lord. In Hebrew, this is Ruach Yahweh, identifying the Spirit as the Holy One Himself, The Great I AM, the Precious Sacred Name God has given Himself, as revealed to Moses at the Burning Bush.
Then Isaiah gives us six more Names: Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Power, Knowledge, and Fear of the Lord.
In John's Vision on the Island of Patmos, he speaks of being totally AWESTRUCK at the Revelation of Jesus Christ in His Glory. John says that he sees "The Seven Spirits of God" in his Vision (Rev 1:4, Rev 3:1, Rev 4:5, Rev 5:6).
This has puzzled readers for centuries, so I probably don't have the definitive answer, but, as I see it, Seven is God's "Number of Completeness and Perfection". The Holy Spirit is Complete in and of Himself, yet is One with The Father and The Son. Some scholars call this phenomenon the SevenFOLD Spirit, as in One with All the Attributes and Qualities that make Perfection.
We have meditated on four of the Names: Wisdom and Understanding, Counsel and Power, and Today we will look at the last two: Knowledge and Fear of the Lord.
The word "Fear" is a stumbling block for many. It seems to be a negative emotion, one we DON'T like to experience. Why would The Holy Spirit, symbolized by the Dove of Peace, want us to fear Him?
The word "Fear" would indeed be a negative emotion if it were an irrational phobia, based upon superstition or ignorance. Primitive People who didn't understand Weather Patterns feared the Thunder and Lightening, and assigned gods and goddesses to things they didn't understand. Some modern people are so blinded by fear that they despise others. The fear turns into hatred, and the hatred turns into violence. That is NOT the kind of "fear" that we are talking about here.
When confronted with a truly Glorious and Magnificent Power, whether it is a Storm or an Earthquake, or even a Picture from the Hubble Telescope, we are struck with Awe and the feeling of being very very small.
John describes this feeling in Revelation, as the Glories of Heaven are Unveiled before his eyes, one by one.
It's a Good, Healthy Appropriate kind of "fear".
Perhaps a better word is "Awe". The bad kind of fear comes from ignorance, as illustrated by phobias and prejudice. The GOOD kind of "fear" comes from Knowledge, from Revelation of the Awesomeness of the Infinite, and can also be called Reverence, Respect, and Being Overwhelmed with Awe.
It is no accident that the Name "Spirit of The Fear of the Lord" is preceded by "The Spirit of Knowledge". To KNOW Him is to be in Awe of Him.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 83
A Song. A Psalm of Asaph.
1 O God, do not keep silence;
do not hold your peace or be still, O God!
2 Even now your enemies are in tumult;
those who hate you have raised their heads.
3 They lay crafty plans against your people;
they consult together against those you protect.
4 They say, ‘Come, let us wipe them out as a nation;
let the name of Israel be remembered no more.’
5 They conspire with one accord;
against you they make a covenant—
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined them;
they are the strong arm of the children of Lot.
Selah
9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as to Sisera and Jabin at the Wadi Kishon,
10 who were destroyed at En-dor,
who became dung for the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, ‘Let us take the pastures of God
for our own possession.’
13 O my God, make them like whirling dust,*
like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest,
as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your hurricane.
16 Fill their faces with shame,
so that they may seek your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be put to shame and dismayed for ever;
let them perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you alone,
whose name is the Lord,
are the Most High over all the earth.
