Although this was uploaded to YT in 2023, the interview was way back. Jimmy De Young went to be with the Lord in 2021.
However I thought JDY did a good job going back to Genesis, the Flood, Noah, Noah's 3 sons and then into the nations that were settled (as they relate to Ezekiel 38).

What we’re seeing, IMHO, is a build-up the looks eerily like the Ezekiel 38 war - and we saw substantial escalation in April, 2024
And now the latest Israeli strikes inside Iran and Lebanon are all over the news
As one of my pastor friends says, it’s all on God’s Timetable, of course - we’ll see

Things sure are heating up over in the Middle East.
With all the unrest and imminent war, it really sets the stage for a man of peace to come in and people to say *Peace and safety* when destruction is about to come on them.
Yeah, I’m wondering if a big war in the Middle East like Ezekiel 38 will ramp up the calls for “Peace and Security”
And then here’s comes Satan’s Antichrist all friendly and ready to “confirm the covenant with many”
I guess the world is gonna find out

There’s been a lot of interest in the timing of the Gog-Magog war described in Ezekiel 38 & 39. Will it happen before the 7-year Tribulation period, early in the Tribulation, in the middle, or late in the Tribulation?
To me, the 2-stage view, though not widely known, makes the most sense. Here’s Dr. Andy Woods’ explanation of that view.
THE TIMING OF EZEKIEL 38 & 39
THE 2-STAGE INTERPRETATION
“... where does the Gog-Magog war fit?... I believe that chapter 38, the war, happens consistent with seal judgment number two, very early in the Tribulation, because... there’s a transition from peace to war in Ezekiel 38. That’s exactly what’s happening with the first two seal judgments, you go from peace under the antichrist to war;
“and then chapter 39... starts to talk about things that happened at the end of the tribulation. Like, for example, the birds of prey gorging on the corpses; like a converted Israel and we know from other passages of scripture that those are events that take place at the end of the tribulation.
“So what I’m seeing is chapter 38 happening essentially with seal judgment number two and chapter 39 essentially transpiring at the end of the tribulation period. So you’ll have the birds of prey at the end, Israel’s conversion at the end and the weapons, at that point, are burned for seven years. The bodies of the invaders are buried for seven months
“... I see the burial and the burning continuing on into the millennial kingdom.
“A lot of people don’t like that, they don’t want their millennium messed up with a bunch of smoke and burials but to me it’s not that big of a problem because the millennial kingdom is a renovation and not an ex nihilo new creation.
“So there’s actually going to be death in the millennial kingdom, amongst the surviving mortals, children of the mortals of the tribulation, those that survive the tribulation, that are believers, that enter the kingdom in their mortal bodies and repopulate the earth. That generation will still experience death. [Isaiah 65:20]
“So the millennial kingdom is not a pristine perfect environment. There’s actually going to be animals slaughtered during that time period and essentially what you have happening here, is, since the millennial kingdom is really not an ex nihilo new creation but a renovation, I don’t really have much of a problem seeing burial and burning of weapons happening during that kingdom age.
“So Ezekiel 38 is the second seal judgment. Ezekiel 39, most of it, is the end of the tribulation period and then the weapons burning and the burial continues on into the thousand year kingdom.”

I am working my way through the Bible, reading it front to back for the first time.
I thought Ezekiel was the weirdest book in the Bible (for me) so far. Like he was having an acid trip when he saw The Lord, with that wagon that had wheels with eyes, etc.
And the whole thing where he had to lie on his side in the middle of the road for years and only eat food cooked over human excrement. It was very strange to me.
Russia, Türkiye, Iran+(Afghanistan and Pakistan), Lybia, Ethiopia+(Somalia and Sudan).
Interesting that according to Ezekiel, there no mention of Saudi Arabia warring against Israel...
If he were writing today on the subject of ending times he would say: look out the window.

Too true. Saudi and Israel seem to have something of an uneasy alliance against Iran, Shi’a vs Sunni, enemy of my enemy, sorta thing?
Also some Persian vs. Arab sorta thing.
Then I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went. As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them. When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. The likeness of the firmament above the heads of the living creatures was like the color of an awesome crystal, stretched out over their heads. And under the firmament their wings spread out straight, one toward another. Each one had two which covered one side, and each one had two which covered the other side of the body. When they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army; and when they stood still, they let down their wings. It certainly seems very unworldly.
I have no problem with Pakistan being part of whatever coalition ultimately comprises the nations of Ezek 38 even though in Ezekiel's time, what was then Persia was well separated from what is now Pakistan.
A large chunk of what is now Pakistan did come under the Persian empire but I don't think that was until well after Ezekiel's death during the reign of Darius ~522–486 BC.
During Ezekiel's life (~623-570BC), Persia was relatively small incorporating only a small region of modern Iran. Persia did not become an empire until the reign of Cyrus 559–530 BC which was shortly after Ezekiel's death.
When interpreting Ezekiel, two questions come to mind:
1.) Was Ezekiel referring to whatever modern nations come to occupy geographic regions corresponding to the approximate locations of people groups in the prophet's day?I lean toward the first view but am open to the second.2.) Was Ezekiel referring to people groups in his day wherever they may have subsequently migrated to... Western Europe, Americas, etc?
The first view results in a regional Russian led coalition of predominately muslim nations. The second view leans towards some type of global United Nations style intervention. Pakistan could be in either.
I thought he went really light on Put (Libya) and Cush (Sudan).
In Ezekiel's day, Put (Libya) may have extended all the way across North Africa from Libya to Morocco. Cush may have been a swath from modern Sudan to Somalia and westward across Saharan Africa.
At times, Cush even included Egypt.
In biblical times, Ethiopia by the Greeks was taken to mean at least Sudan but could also more generally refer to whatever lay south of Egypt.
I recognize the view but one issue I have with it is that in Ch 39 we are told 1/6 of the armies return to their homelands.
How can Ezek 39 be reconciled it with Rev 19?
That havng been said, I lean toward a pre-tribulation fulfillment of Ezek 38-39. The seven year period of cleanup complete by the time the Antichrist reveals himself.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the tribes in Pakistan will be involved with that battle.
