The Congregational church in my area of Texas has gone full apostate, appointing a full-on witch as their head pastor.

Shannon Michael Pater (he, they)
Intentional Interim Pastor

Namaste & Hello! I go by “Shannon Michael.”

I'm a spiritual director in private practice and have developed a method of "trauma-informed spiritual direction" that integrates the Wisdom Traditions, traumatology, and modern neuroscience.

In hopes of satori, samadhi, shanti, shalom & salaam

Wow. How far the Congregational Church in America has fallen since the 1600s. Even in the late 1960s our Baptist Church associated often with Congregational churches in the area. That letter by the “pastor” in your post is cringeworthy.

the wisdom traditions are aka Gnosis traditions.
Gnostics are still christian.
All those words for ‘peace’, don’t equate to witchcraft, as i checked my encyclopaedia of witchcraft.

I will opine that, if balanced by Puritanical ideology, anything outside of the KJV, would be defined as witchcraft.
Such ideology became cursed (imho), when in 1640 - 20 years after Plymouth Rock, in the town of Windsor, in the colony of Connecticut, came a young woman by the name of Alsee/Alice Young, who was found guilty of witchcraft, and hung.
She was the first woman found guilty and hung, in the New World.
