Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
Magnified and Sanctified is Your Most Holy Name!

How Glorious and Wonderful You Are,
And How Gracious and Merciful.
For You Alone Are Worthy of Praise and Worship,
You Alone Are Holy,

You Alone Are The One True God!

Number us NOT with those who whisper lies to Your People.
Those who say "Peace and Safety" out loud,
but who inwardly plot against You and Your Beloved!
We ask You to Intervene in the Affairs of Nations,
And Guide the Direction of Our Own.
We Plead With You, That Our Leaders will be Led by Your Holy Spirit
with regards to Our Own Country's Direction,
Or That You Will Remove Them.

We pray also for the lost Children of Esau and Ishmael
That they will throw down their weapons,
And embrace the One True God of Abraham,
For We Know, It is NOT Your Will that ANY Should perish,
As You have said in Your Word.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

Just for the heck of it, I entered into my Search Engine this question:

"What is Truth?"

While quite a few dictionary definitions came up, there were citations of Pontius Pilate, Reams of Philosophical Pscychobabble, Religious Essays, and even a link to Donald Trump's Truth Social website. Here's one page that was mindbogglingly obtuse!

I have been told confidently by first year Philosophy Majors that "Truth" is subjective, depending upon one's Epistemology. Simply put, a person derives his "Truth" based upon the way he was taught and trained to arrive at his conclusions. We can see an example of this when a person is "sworn in" in a court of law. Our culture normally uses a Bible to swear in a witness to tell:

"The Truth,The Whole Truth, and Nothing But the Truth."

If a person doesn't believe in the Judeo-Christian Heritage of Western Civilization, he is allowed to make his oath using the holy book of his own faith. The downside of that would be if a holy book didn't recognize truth as reality (such as some esoteric Eastern sects), or if the book contains a clause saying it is OK to lie if it furthers "the cause". (This principle is called Taqiyyah in Islam), such oaths would be worthless.

While people may see things a little differently, the Truth is still the Truth.

Truth is not dependent on what a person believes. If a person believes he can fly, and jumps out of a perfectly good airplane without a parachute, he's going to fall to the ground and probably die. That's the Truth. What he believes doesn't matter.

Perhaps the most incredible expression of Truth is the Name of God Himself: I AM WHAT I AM. Jesus echoes this when He says "I AM the Truth".

It doesn't take a Philosophy Degree to figure that out.
