No doubt MLuther was a tortured soul who at first loved the Church but later abhorred its evil and corrupt practices. For what deficiencies he had surely the RCC was greater. Theres was intentional and motivated by greed, avarice and power. The selling of indulgences, praying (and buying) souls out of purgatory, abuse of power by the Pope and general hypocrisy of clerics in contrast to what they instructed the people. This exposure really really rubbed TPTB wrong. Instead of using these 95 theses to reform, they put out a (death) warrant for Martin Luther. Only by the grace of God was his life spared. Let God judge him.
He still is and always will be, now that he's burning in Hell.
He has already been judged.
