Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Almighty and Eternal God,
How Excellent is Your Name Over All The Earth!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,
For Your Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are God,
You Alone Are The Most High!
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
and Omnipresent,
You See The End From The Beginning
And The Beginning From The End.
We Thank You For Your Precious and Holy Word,
Which Gives Us Daily Insight Into Your Eternal Mind,
Your Righteousness,
and Your Love For Us.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

The Names and Titles of God (Jesus of Nazareth) Mathew 21:11

King James Version

________________________

The following lines are from a song I wrote in 1995 called "The Mother Road":

My cousin lives near Tulsa, right off Rt 66,
In the home town of Will Rogers, in the Oklahoma sticks.
There ain't a musical instr’ment that the gal can't play!
She says I'll always have a place to sleep, if I'm ever out that way.

My cousin, who is about a year younger than I am, has the same name as I do. She lives far away in Oklahoma, so one would think that this wouldn't cause any confusion, but, just yesterday, a student remarked upon a glowing review of my only published book (Now out of print) called "Nuthin' But The Blues". He innocently asked me if I had written that wonderful review of my own book!

"Of Course Not!" I replied. "That's by my Cousin. She has the same name as I do!"

All our lives, she was "Mary Lou From Oklahoma" and I was "Mary-Lou from Boston". Easy. We still stay in touch, and she is a daily recipient of this Thread.

Yesterday, we looked at the Name of Jesus in His Native Language, which would have been Yeshua (or Joshua). Even to this day, it is a very popular name.

In 2002, a discovery in Israel caused a big sensation in the world of Biblical Archaeology. An Ossuary, bearing the name of someone who could have been related to Jesus, has caused controversy ever since. The key was the words "James, Son of Joseph" carved into the box. "Son of" was a way of expressing a person's surname in Hebrew.

But, just as "Joshua" was a common name, so was Joseph, and so was James. It could have been the bones of any man living in Jerusalem at that time.

Further Identification was needed.

While "Yeshua Bar Yusef" may have been adequate in Nazareth to indicate the Village Carpenter, it would hardly suffice in Jerusalem, where there could have been many men with that name. "Jesus of Nazareth", however, is quite specific. Everyone knew Who was being talked about when He was called that.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen
