I left the one true church, for a number of different reasons. The biggest reason I left, was because I had a terrible fear of hell. I heard that many one true church members also have a terrible fear of hell. I do not fear hell anymore.
Sounds like something like Pol Pot or Adolph Hitler would say.
Before I became a Christian, I left because of the hypocrisy on display in the Catholic religion.
After I became a Christian, I started going back to it, while at the same time actually reading the Bible.
The discrepancies between what the Bible clearly states and Catholic doctrine and practices was so glaring that there was no point in continuing there.
Religion saves no one. Nor does church membership.
Nor rituals, and sacraments.
JESUS saves and only Him.
When we're saved, believing on and receiving Jesus, we are now sons of God, have passed from judgment, have had the entire record of our sin debt before God that stood against us wiped CLEAN, and are now positionally, seated with Christ in heaven.
John 1:12-13 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Ephesians 2:4-7 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 2:13-14 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.
And we are the temple of God, our bodies. God doesn't live in a building or wheat wafer, or any other object. He, through His Holy spirit, lives IN us. For good.
Acts 17:24-25 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
1 Corinthian s 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Hell probably fears YOU!!!!
