Paul’s warning in Galatians 6:7 is crystal clear: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” This isn’t just a gentle reminder, it’s a dire warning. If you think you can twist God’s Word and pervert His worship to fit your agenda, you’re sadly mistaken. God’s standards of holiness and righteousness are non-negotiable. Trying to reshape His eternal truths to fit today’s perverted agenda…that’s outright rebellion against His sovereign authority.
Jesus also warned about those who honor Him “with their lips” but their hearts are far from Him. Yet, these people don’t even honor Him with their lips—they openly blaspheme Him with every fibre of their being, mocking Him, and using His name to promote what He hates.
God warned in Isaiah 5:20: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.” This is exactly what’s happening when these fake churches take hymns that once celebrated God’s redemptive work and turn them into anthems celebrating sin. Here, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Charleston rewrites the words to “Come Now Fount of Every Blessing” and replaces the lyrics with the following (see clip at bottom):

Heresy!!!!
How childish.
2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not suffer wholesome doctrine: but having their ears itching, shall after their own lusts get them an heap of teachers,
4 And shall turn their ears from the truth and shall be given unto fables.
One of my favorite hymns, and the story of its author is an amazing testimony.
Hijacking this beautiful hymn for the sodomite agenda is pure evil. There will literally be hell to pay for it.
I’m guessing this is only the first of many Christian hymns that the alpha-fag people will desecrate.
Disgusting. Hand them over to Satan, that they may be taught not to blaspheme.

Sounds about right.
There was a church in 2008 that rewrote “This Little Light of Mine” to praise Manchurian Candidate Barack Hussein Obama. To me, these are things that will happen when the Antichrist shows up.
I can’t find the video.......
One of the great hymns. Here’s a beautiful solo acoustic rendition:

Some wonderful lyrics:
“Jesus sought me when a stranger
wondering from the throne of God
He to rescue me from danger
bought me with His precious blood.”
“Prone to wander Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, Lord, take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above.”
[God warned in Isaiah 5:20: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.”]
We’re in those days for sure.

Beware of false shepherds.
It’s “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing”.
Episcopals. Of course.
It was either Episcopals, Methodists, Presbyterians or Unitarians.
Or one of the other World Council of Churches denominations.
The story of the author of this hymn, Robert Robinson, is a testimony, somewhat like Saul of Tarsus.
Robert was a leader of a notorious gang.
Then, still as a teen, he went to a George Whitefield meeting, intending to ridicule it; instead, he almost fell asleep in it.
But, when the preacher shouted out a Bible verse:
“O generation of vipers; who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come” (Matthew 3:7, KJV).
That evening, Robert was converted.
A few years, later, at the age of 23, he wrote this hymn.
Later in life, he strayed from the faith and drifted far from the fount of every blessing and said to a woman,
“Madam, I am the poor man who wrote that hymn many years ago, and I would give a thousand worlds to enjoy the feelings I had then.”
Very interesting, thanks.
Libs began to mess around with “Come Thou Fount” a long time ago when they re-wrote some verses.
The beginning of the second verse, “Here I raise my Ebenezer; hither by thy help I’m come”, has been revised in some newer hymnals.
Why don’t people just leave well enough alone?
We attended (once) the large Baptist church in town when we moved here. “How Great Thou Art” lyrics had been totally modernized, i.e., “How Great You Are”, and it carried through the whole song. Sheesh! (BTW, the large Baptist church in town is more country club than church. If you’re “Somebody”, that’s where you go to hobnob.)
Disgusting. To the tune of “Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee” (Beethoven, Ode to Joy)
Of course, they don’t really mean any of it. As usual, they hide their acrid hatred for all things holy and good behind innocuous, benign-sounding words. It’s actually a mocking of what they claim to embrace.
They wrote an LGBTQ version? They need to write a heterosexual version of it too, because the original version is asexual. Not a single mention of what people like to do with their crotches, the same as all the hymns I am familiar with. They have taken a sweet, wonderful old hymn expressing thanks for God’s saving grace and turned it into I can only imagine what, since I am not about to listen to it. If they were Christians, they should be able, without any problem, to sing the original. A tree is known by ots fruit.
