Not surprising at all. Martin has said that one of his heroes is Howard Hubbard, an ex-Bishop who was a notorious promoter of gay priests, was accused of sexual abuse in his own right and only got off because he paid Clinton fixer Mary Jo White to "investigate" him. After nearly destroying the Albany Diocese, Hubbard was retired out of his bishopric only to abandon his vows right before his death and get married.
