The former Pontifical Academy for Life, now the Pontifical Academy for Death, has betrayed its founder, John Paul II, and its first president, Professor Jérôme Lejeune, said George Weigel, John Paul II's biographer and neo-conservative warmonger, at a conference on bioethics held in Rome on 17-18 May.
As an example, he cited the book with the euphemistic title "La Gioia della Vita" ("The Joy of Life") published by the Academy in February. It contains a prologue by the homosexual activist Vincenzo Paglia, who is also a Vatican archbishop and president of the academy.
The authors of the articles in the book attempt to whitewash contraception, medically assisted procreation and euthanasia suicide.
Weigel describes the book's authors as "dissenting from the authoritative teaching" of the Church, and formulates the truism that the book espouses an "anti-biblical and anti-metaphysical anthropology" that would have been " completely foreign, indeed abhorrent, to both Jérôme Lejeune and John Paul II".
Naively, Weigel expresses the hope that the deconstruction of the Pontifical Academy for Death, "a painful process that can be observed over the past decade, is halted and then reversed in the years ahead".

Betrays implies that the person signed onto the agenda in the first place. Which is probably true in this case. In the 90’s, his fellow Jesuits found him to be unacceptably conservative.

What do you mean by basement level? Also, do you object to any criticism of the Pope, or you just don’t like the kind of insults directed at him.
All of these progressive ideals of present members of the Curia were prophesied by The Third Secret of Fatima and was never revealed due to the formal Apostasy of Vat II. Seems this is the reason the final Secret will never be revealed because it was prophesied in 1960 and Vat II began in 1962 that Vat II will destroy The Church. 18,000 priests have left, Churches and Schools are closing rapidly and Church attendance is at all time low. The Third Secret prophesied demise of the Church due to Vat II. Hopefully the next Pontiff will be a Traditionalist and reverse Vat II and save Christ’s Church.

Bergoglio is definitely a politician. As far as being a pope, he relegated the title, Vicar of Christ, to the history books.

For decades, George Weigel was the ultimate Catholic Church “company man,” acting as an apologist everything the Vatican said and did. If even Weigel is alarmed by the actions of Pope Francis, then you know that this pontificate is a dumpster fire. Otherwise, Weigel would be the last one to call them out.
