It surprises me Voddie would be with Glen Beck
No clue why this group coalesced.
Here’s something on Voddie Baucham:

TULIP calvinist. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, per se. :-)
(Now Glenn Beck, he is NOT a five-point calvinist!)

Unless Glenn Beck found the Jesus Christ of Former-Day Saints maybe? ;-)
It’s hard to tell unless you ask them to define their terms. Mormons have picked up the glossary of terms used by evangelical Christians.
They use the same words, but they mean something entirely different. Sneaky.
These prudepricks certainly will fight. They’ll fight Glenn Beck. Not the left. Not illegal immigration. Not China. Glenn Beck. Meanwhile the scumbags on the left would kill all of these people including protestia, whatever that is, with a push of a button if they could.
Question: Roman Emperor Constantine, who dictated portions of the Nicene Creed accepted Semi-Arian Baptism by Bishop Nicodemus.
Is Constantine a Christian? ..or a Heritic, like
Glen Beck?
Some how I get the feeling Protestia and other Christian news forums will be running more stories on this conference.
I’m rather surprised Skillet is still around. They were pretty big when I was in college 25 or so years ago.
They need to uninvite Beck. That’s just crazy.
“As the Ottomans bashed the gates of Constantinople, the Emperor and all his priests and bishops were still huddled in his palace debating and arguing what color eyes the virgin Mary had”
There is nothing wrong at all being a Calvinist. The Bible teaches it and the Reformers knew it. Most of our colonial pastors were Calvinist because their theology was reformed.
Inviting Beck is a 2nd John issue. That should have never happened.
I’m not sure how that is responsive to this. False doctrine in the church isn’t appropriate because other bad things are also going on in the world...
2nd John issue - exactly. 3rd John one as well if I recall correctly.
Is the venue even actually in a church?
And even if it is, how is having Beck speak — granting he’s not going to teach Mormon theology — how is that “False doctrine in the church?”
The whole thing sounds far more like a common ground meeting promoting what we’d ALL agree would be “Christian living”:
Decency
Sobriety
Industry
Family
Purity
...
You and these fault-finding Protestia busybodies are just rooting through the shrubbery looking for a speck of dirt out of place to scream about.
That ain’t my Jesus.
Skillet is still one of the biggest names in Christian rock.
I don’t understand the hullabaloo here. Christian men, regardless of sect, want to encourage other Christian men to be Christian… men. Why the heck do we fight over the Christian-ness of other sects and cast stones as we do it? Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.
“Skillet is still one of the biggest names in Christian rock.”
I’ve never heard of him. Then again I don’t listen to Christian Rock. I share Hank Hill’s opinion on that.
2 Timothy 4:3-4
True. And keep in mind that this is an election year. We may be looking at a gathering of men on the right coming together and encouraging men to exemplify righteous living in part to encourage men to vote this election against the anti-Christian, baby killing, freedom sucking, America hating, family destroying, child grooming Dims.
