Phil Keaggy is a national treasure. I’ve been listening to his music for many decades. A friend turned me onto him in the 70’s.

In 1999, possibly starting in late 1998, one of the local TV stations must have been convinced that Jesus would be returning on January 1, 2000.

So they started running pop Christian music videos for about 2 hours non-stop at night.

I actually enjoyed it after working (the best consulting job I ever had) all day and relaxing to go to sleep for the next day.

Phil Keaggy had one song that I liked (first I’d ever heard it). I couldn’t name the song, though. It was a slow ballad.

Those seem like great days compared to now. And my folks were still alive; Dad was living with me.

It actually sounded sorta Paul McCartney ballad-like - that’s all I recall
