Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
How Excellent,
How Holy,
How Majestic is Your Most Wonderful Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise and Worship,
For You Are Our Creator,
and The Creator of All That Is!
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
and Omnipresent,
You Are The One True God,
The Great I AM,
The Ancient Of Days,
Our All-In-All!
We Ask, Oh LORD, That You Will Forgive and Redeem Our Own Nation.
That we may once again enjoy the Blessings of Your Great Bounty.
We Pray That Our Leaders will Turn Their Hearts To YOU,
Or That YOU Shall REMOVE THEM,
In Whatever Way YOU see fit.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Although David calls God "His Shield" a number of times in the Book of Psalms, this is the first time in Scripture we encounter it. And, although we know that David was a warrior, we don't usually put that description onto Abraham. Yet, Abraham was a warrior, rescuing his Nephew Lot, and other hostages, fighting off a coalition of pagan kings, and attempting to negotiate with God on the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah. He is shown paying his troops, and not keeping anything for himself. Unlike the usual vision we have of Abraham wandering the desert with his sheep, the Book of Genesis shows us a much more complex and interesting character.
Abraham may have been a Shepherd, but he was a Warrior, a Diplomat, and a Ruler as well.
A Warrior needs to have a Shield. It had to be made of strong enough material to ward off arrows, spears, and swords. Sometimes a Warrior would have a little shield that protected his weapon hand (a Buckler), and a big shield to protect his body from projectiles. The Psalmist calls God Both a "Buckler" and a "Shield".
We see from this Verse in Genesis that David wasn't just making that up to be poetic. God, in talking to Abraham, calls HIMSELF Abraham's "Shield". This profound agreement, thousands of years apart, shows the incredible consistency of the Scriptures, and the fact that they were inspired by the SAME Holy Spirit.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 111
1 Praise the Lord!
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,
in the company of the upright, in the congregation.
2 Great are the works of the Lord,
studied by all who delight in them.
3 Full of honour and majesty is his work,
and his righteousness endures for ever.
4 He has gained renown by his wonderful deeds;
the Lord is gracious and merciful.
5 He provides food for those who fear him;
he is ever mindful of his covenant.
6 He has shown his people the power of his works,
in giving them the heritage of the nations.
7 The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.
8 They are established for ever and ever,
to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
9 He sent redemption to his people;
he has commanded his covenant for ever.
Holy and awesome is his name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practise it* have a good understanding.
His praise endures for ever.

The Lord is our shield!
Prayer Of Thanks For God’s Protection
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for the promise that none can pluck us out of Your hand and none can pluck us out of Your Father’s hand either. Oh Lord, this world seems to be getting more dangerous and more violent with each passing year, but I do thank You that no matter what happens to us in this life, we are safe in Your hands for we have eternal life in You, simply because we are Your children.
Protect us Lord Jesus, and keep us safe as we go about our daily duties in this world. Lord, You have placed each one of us in the location where You would have us be and although we are surrounded by dangers and difficulties, we pray Your loving protection over all Your children.
Keep us ever safe in Your hands and use us Lord to give encouragement and care to others in dangers and difficulties. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
