Our Father in Heaven,
How Blessed and Glorious
is Your Most Wonderful and Holy Name!
How Perfect Your Plan and Your Promise,
And How Magnificent Your Precepts and Your Provision.
You See The Beginning From The End,
And The End from The Beginning.
You Are Not Bound By Time And Space,
Because You Created Them in The First Place!
We are so quick to second-guess Your Plan,
to try an "figure You out",
to "Put You on Our Schedule",
When what we SHOULD do is Fall on our faces before You
and Worship You,
With Our Whole Heart,

This morning, in my personal Bible reading, I came across a particularly compelling description of Ezekiel's Vision of Almighty God. Now, bear in mind, my bookmarks have found themselves in a particularly difficult sequence in the Old Testament:

1. My Torah Bookmark is in Leviticus.
2. My History Bookmark is in Nehemiah
3. My Poetry Bookmark is in Job
4. My Prophecy Bookmark is in Ezekiel.

Except for Nehemiah, all of these Books are considered "Tough Going" by most Bible Students. People like a Good Story, and these Books are more "Philosophical" rather than Action-Packed. But they are STILL the Word of God and sometimes shimmer with insights that never seemed to show up in previous readings.

Well, Dear Friends, that happened to me this morning. After slogging through the Rules of Ritual Sacrifice in Leviticus, Nehemiah's Frustrating letters with opponents of his Building Project, and the obnoxious pontificating of Job's self-righteous "friends", I was hit with Ezekiel's Vision of Almighty God.

Ezekiel described the surroundings as "Wheels Full of Eyes All Around", and "Wheels Within Wheels". Suddenly, in my mind's eye, I saw not the pathetic illustrations on the Internet, but a vision of sub-atomic particles flying around each other, wheels within wheels, charged with unimaginable Power. Those wheels within wheels became the orbits of planets around the Sun, the sun around a galaxy, and more galaxies spinning around each other. The galaxies were made up of shining stars which, to Ezekiel, may have looked like glowing eyes all around.

Since Ezekiel had neither an Electron Microscope, nor a Webb Space Telescope at his disposal, how else could he describe the whole of Creation except by saying that everything, from the tiniest sub-atomic particle to the enormity of Space as "Wheels Within Wheels".

And, how could something so incredibly orderly have happened by accident?

I gently closed the Book, turned on the computer, and looked at Today's Name of God.

Whether my reaction to Ezekiel's Vision was from God or from my own Imagination, it certainly agrees with Today's Name, "Almighty God".

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
