You claimed you’re not a freemason, even though you defend them.
Care to explain why you have not joined them?
I do defend them; in fact, I admire them greatly.
And I told you - figure it out for yourself.
You have such great knowledge, and all...
Catholics believe in "One God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth...
There's a big difference between the Creator and some demonic "architect".
You are repeating yourself now, and getting boring.
And you’re a very narrow thinker - also boring.
So why haven't you joined them?
It’s not about expressing belief in God in our own individual way, it about coming to God thru Jesus Christ in the way The Father wants all men to come to him. Sure every man is unique but The Father,,,As per Acts 17, has declared that all men should come to to him thru the son , Christ Jesus.
Such a concept is incompatible with Masonry teachings which are syncretistic in nature. It denies the divinity of Christ and the sufficiency of the shedding of his blood that was necessary for the salvation of all men. There is but one way to God and that being thru Christ Jesus. And that is where Masonry and I stand apart...even if there be some admirable and decent souls in the lower ranks!
Thank-you for the compliment.
“Masonry teachings which are syncretistic in nature”
Good description.
I would add the word “Gnostic” as well.
You cannot read. I did not say I believe in multiple God’s. I said Mason’s don’t care which religion or God you believe. Your comprehension and reading skills are absent. Maybe it is a lack of intelligence. You clearly let emotions rule your pea sized brain.
There you go again; talking about which "god".
That's not a mispelling, Jamestown. That's masonry.
I do not believe they ‘deny’ the divinity of Jesus. They simply don’t address it, as they don’t address the specifics of any religion..
Very welcome :)
I have no idea what you’re talking about.
But I don’t believe that there is ‘only one way’ to come to God, so what you believe is interesting to me but not essential. (And again, Masonry is not a religion and doesn’t pretend to be one.)
“Masonry is not a religion and doesn’t pretend to be one.”
That is the party line for the newbies.

What do you mean by "If" they follow the Ten Commandments?
Do some of your "christian lodges" not follow the Ten Commandments?
So are there non-christian lodges also? What do they do with their adulterers? Do those followers also follow or ignore the Ten Commandments at their whim?
You have to have an appreciation for those who start wars over religion while failing to grasp the deeper meaning of their own religion.
For myself, I have over 45 hours in college religion, cultural, and comparative belief systems. I liken all but Christianity a philosophy. The Taoist, Buddist, Shamanistic, Shinto, and Muslims as philosphy. Judaism and Christianity follow the same God. Christianity however has a philosophy that it alone is the owner of the God of the Jews, using Jesus as the inatragent point in ownership. Judaism is as it has always been and they believe that they are waiting for their messiah.
I believe I have s every religion except African tribal beliefs. I lump them into Shamanism along with the other tribal peoples of the world.
Once you learn a culture you must learn the religion or philosophy to understand the language and people.
After my studies, I do not ascribe any particular rankings. I find all of them interesting and understand their beliefs.
People who go to church do not have the intellectual freedom to openly learn the new cultural and religious systems, they are rote and often triggered to evangelize or insilate themselves as superior.
What works for a village with a shaman or medicine man is who they are.
The problem of religion is the warfare. Ebb Turd is at war. He only knows he is right, but he really doesn’t understand beyond rote symbolism.
On a higher level people who can be from different cultures and religions in a fraternal organization are much preferred by me to those who Ave my religion but are at war over their beliefs of it.
That is so wrong. Mason’s were the builder’s of Solomons Temple. The Mason’s guilt in King Solomons time was a guild of secret understanding simply required by the group for building buildings.
Your posts lack any actual evidence of one who knows about this subject.
There are some posts in the thread quite illuminating on this subject.
I haven’t much use for organized religion at all. I’ve appreciated aspects of it when I’ve been in a church for one reason or another; but I prefer being in the company of people who can discuss philosophy and even religious ideas with an open-mindedness that I don’t see much of on FR.
To me, there often seems to be more ‘religiosity’ here than spiritual understanding.
Ah, now I see you deep problem. That explains your inexcusable defense of freemasonry.
No man can come to me, except the Father, who hath sent me, draw him; and I will raise him up in the last day. |
The freemasons never mention nor acknowledge Jesus Christ.
