Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

The Names and Titles of God (Elohim)

Genesis 1:1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

(King James Version)

God Bless America.

Abba, Father Who Art in Heaven,
Blessed Be Your Holy Name!
How we love to sing Your praises,
To Lift Up Your Holy Name in Worship,
For You Alone are Worthy of Praise.
For You are Holy, Righteous and Just,
And Glorious in Majesty!
You Alone Are The One True God.
Perfect in All Your Ways
Ancient of Days,
King of Kings,
And Lord of Lords!

Father, forgive us for doubting Your Word,
Forgive us for even entertaining the lies of the enemy of our souls!
Forgive us for thinking we can be "gods"!
And forgive us for not taking responsibility for our actions,
Blaming others for our sin,
And trying to vainly "Cover Up".
Lead us not into temptation,
And deliver us from evil!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

First of all, I wish to apologize for the format of Today's Thread. There is either something wrong with my computer, or there is a glitch somewhere in the code, but, for the life of me, I can't find it. So I will be working around this problem as best I can.

I can't help but theorize that there might be other forces at work here, as Today we are embarking upon a deep and edifying study of the Names and Titles of God as found in the Bible. "You-Know-Who" would be annoyed with any Blessings we may glean from this study, and may be up to his old tricks again. Be it known that "Greater is He Who is in me than "he" that is in the world."

Now that that's settled, let's look at the very first sentence in the very first Book of the Bible. There are seven words in the Hebrew. Some Bible Scholar (I don't remember who, so this is without attribution) mentioned that the words look like the Seven Branch Menorah, the Symbol of Israel. This is further supported by the odd fact that the "word" in the center, which would represent the tall candle in the middle, isn't a word at all.

The word that isn't a word is just two letters, Alef-Tav. The closest thing we have in English would be "A-Z". Alef is the first letter in the Hebrew Alphabet, and Tav is the last.

In Greek, the Language of the New Testament, "Alef-Tav" would be translated "Alpha and Omega". If that sounds familiar, it should because it is from the LAST paragraph in the Book of Revelation.

The Bible begins with God describing Himself as "Alef-Tav", and ends with Jesus describing Himself as the "Alpha and the Omega".

Even the arrangement of the individual letters in the Bible's original manuscripts are inspired beyond any human imagination.

As Jesus said, "Not one jot (iota) or tittle (accent mark) shall pass away.

Now, if I can figure out what tiny bit of code is wrong in my template, we can get back to the regular format tomorrow.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

The Greatest of These is Love (1 Corinthians 13)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 31

To the leader. A Psalm of David.

1 In you, O Lord, I seek refuge;
do not let me ever be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me.
2 Incline your ear to me;
rescue me speedily.
Be a rock of refuge for me,
a strong fortress to save me.

3 You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
for your name’s sake lead me and guide me,
4 take me out of the net that is hidden for me,
for you are my refuge.
5 Into your hand I commit my spirit;
you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.

6 You hate* those who pay regard to worthless idols,
but I trust in the Lord.
7 I will exult and rejoice in your steadfast love,
because you have seen my affliction;
you have taken heed of my adversities,
8 and have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy;
you have set my feet in a broad place.

9 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am in distress;
my eye wastes away from grief,
my soul and body also.
10 For my life is spent with sorrow,
and my years with sighing;
my strength fails because of my misery,*
and my bones waste away.

11 I am the scorn of all my adversaries,
a horror* to my neighbours,
an object of dread to my acquaintances;
those who see me in the street flee from me.
12 I have passed out of mind like one who is dead;
I have become like a broken vessel.
13 For I hear the whispering of many—
terror all around!—
as they scheme together against me,
as they plot to take my life.

14 But I trust in you, O Lord;
I say, ‘You are my God.’
15 My times are in your hand;
deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors.
16 Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your steadfast love.
17 Do not let me be put to shame, O Lord,
for I call on you;
let the wicked be put to shame;
let them go dumbfounded to Sheol.
18 Let the lying lips be stilled
that speak insolently against the righteous
with pride and contempt.

19 O how abundant is your goodness
that you have laid up for those who fear you,
and accomplished for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of everyone!
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them
from human plots;
you hold them safe under your shelter
from contentious tongues.

21 Blessed be the Lord,
for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me
when I was beset as a city under siege.
22 I had said in my alarm,
‘I am driven far* from your sight.’
But you heard my supplications
when I cried out to you for help.

23 Love the Lord, all you his saints.
The Lord preserves the faithful,
but abundantly repays the one who acts haughtily.
24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord.
