I’ll go along with your last sentence here.
43,47-50
crickets
In case you haven't noticed, Bergoglio is not equal to Catholicism.
The problem with protestants, is that they'll submit to no one. They're too prideful, and when the Bible doesn't agree with them they "interpret" it to their liking. That way they can justify birth control, divorce, etc.; whatever makes them "happier".
+1
Says the guy who won’t submit to his own pope.
In case you haven’t noticed, YOUR College of Cardinals elected him as pope of the Catholic church.
That does make him the face of Catholicism for the world, whether you like it or not. He represents Christ to the world as you all claim, and he represents the authority of Catholicism which elected him and gave their stamp of approval to him.
How do I not submit to the Pope?
I did not apostatize as some here have done.
In case you haven’t notice, YOUR electoral college elected Joe Biden as president of the United States.
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, is the face of the Catholic Church for the world, whether you deny it or not.
I took a social justice class at a Catholic university a very long time ago. I found it incredibly offensive then. “Rich people are sinners” kind of krep. Who did they think paid for their buildings, kept the heat on, put food on the Jesuit’s tables?
My mom was a strict Catholic, told me daily I was going to hell for something. No way to treat a six year old child. Dad was an agnostic, and I was definitely a daddy’s girl. Miss him every day of my life.
” took a social justice class at a Catholic university”
This tells ya all about the Commie Jesuit insurrection.
a very good read
The Church is the kingdom of God/heaven as clearly seen in the book of Acts:
The Gospels talk about “The kingdom of God is AT HAND” but Acts is “
He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!”
The Bible continuously uses the terms “Kingdom of God”, “Kingdom of heaven”, “Messianic Kingdom” and “Church” interchangeably
Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matt 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities, and towns, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease, and every infirmity.
Matt 16:13-20 19 And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
Luke 11:20 But if I by the finger of God cast out devils; doubtless the kingdom of God is come upon you.
Christ founded the Kingdom of God during His first advent.
The description of the Kingdom in revelation is essentially ecclesiastical.
we see that the kingdom of God is in the here and now, present in and through the Church. Yet it is a mixed reality that will only be perfectly realized at the end of history. This current “mixed” state can be seen as the Church on earth which now grows in the field of the world with both weeds and wheat until the harvest when Christ says he will “tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned. But gather the wheat into my barn” (Matt 13:30).
The Church is the Bride of Christ - continually since Pentecost in 33 AD.
The debauchery etc. is from the chaff that do still exist - and note that the disgraced priests amount to 2% of priests at most - and I agree that should be zero. This is no different than your place of worship and work.
Jesus came for the sinners as well - and some will fall away, while others repent.
