I love Tissot and von Reutern, but I think 44, showing Isaac as an adult is thought-provoking (if not exactly accurate) in that it really brings out the connection that Isaac of the first covenant is foreshadowing Christ of the final covenant. For that reason alone it is both unique and remarkable.
It also apparently brings out run-on sentences…
The thought it provokes in me is it argues that Isaac, like Christ, went willingly onto that altar.
