I haven’t read the article yet, but I will. I just wanted to give you my kneejerk reaction to the title of the post first. I think the most dangerous heresy he has promoted is the idea of mercy without repentance. That alone will be responsible for thousands, if not millions, of souls dying without true repentance, and thus, in a state of eternal suffering and death.

I have read the post, the title is not really descriptive, the treatise really accuses John Paul for the statements of heresy stated.

In an earlier post today I debated that the pope, or even Peter was not what Christ built His church on but that revelation, the knowledge given to man that Christ is The Son of The Living God. What Catholics assume about Peter being the rock of the church is understood because the statement is taken out of context, it should not be read with out the two verses preceding it.

There have been many bad popes but The Church continued. The person in Peters chair cannot be the rock that the Savior described but is in my honest opinion a usurper, perhaps even an anti-christ.

I am so disappointed that so many good Catholics follow what Pope Francis dictates just because they believe he is the rock spoken of. He is leading the church astray and those that are too lazy to understand that by a simple reading of The New Testament are accomplices.

I believe if Frances continues to lead the church there will be another schism, just the same as there are in some mainline Protestant churches today.

The one good thing about all this is that it will likely hasten the return of Christ to earth.

Francis is proposing as good the same things that required Lot to leave Sodom. Francis would have you believe that destroying Sodom and Gomora was a mistake, that they were not really evil because God doesn’t really hate sin since everyone will be saved regardless.
