I am protestant. Why does the Pope and FBI hate people who speak Latin? It was taught in junior high when I was a kid, high school too. It is obvious the last Pope got the heave ho on a lie about his health.
Latin is the language of the original Catholic Church Doctrines, the language of the Enlightenment Period, the language of Science.

You learned Latin in school and might think you do not use it all today, but this assumption would not be the case. Why? Because 60% of the common English we use today is made up of Latin roots. Ask an older person to read a section of scientific text and then ask a young person just graduated from High School or even college. Both can read it, but in most cases only one comprehends it.
