This is easy: depart the LDS.
Problem solved.
Easy for us we are on the outside looking in, but not so easy for them.
Unlike “leaving the Methodists”, leaving LDS is more like leaving islam. That is because it is a kinship structure as well as being a system of belief, which itself is thoroughly entwined in kinship: past, preset and future.
It can be done, though; but at great emotional cost.
When your whole family and most friends and probably your employer or business contacts are in, and are required to shun you if you leave,it gets complicated.
