And if you check the newer approved versions of the Bible for RCs you’ll see that translation you cite as going away.
What happens to the RC who denies the legitimacy of the pope?
You accused me of providing zero support.
That is a falsehood, and babbling about the Catholic Encyclopedia doesn’t help you. Gibbering about “newer translations” doesn’t help you either. In fact, it makes your position worse.
You posted a falsehood. You can admit it and at least preserve a shred of honor. Or you can continue to post falsehoods, knowing that they are false.
Your choice ...
I notice you're changing the subject. Not interested.
He was raised in California from a Catholic mother and a Jewish father. Wikipedia says he converted from Judaism, but my guess is that the actual practice of it was minimized or suppressed in his parents' mixed-marriage family.
During the first four centuries of Christianity, from the beginning all Christians agreed on the four Gospels of St. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Beyond that, there was great disagreement as to which books should be read in the churches. St. Athanasius, a bishop, produced the first list of the present books of the Bible in 367 AD. Pope St. Damasus I, in his Decree of Damasus in 382 AD, repeated the same list of books. Then the Council of Hippo in 393 AD approved the same list. So did the third Council of Carthage in 397 AD. The Council of Carthage sent its list to Rome for ratification by Pope St. Boniface I. At that point, the Catholic Canon of Sacred Scripture was accepted worldwide. The Deuterocanonicals were also in the Scripture book that King James authorized. Why were they removed long after King James had died?
Luke 1:28 does not say Mary is sinless nor does she remain sinless. I haven’t even brought up the church fathers who say she sinned. You cannot show me one clear verse to support your position. I on the other hand can supply several verses showing all have sinned.
Well, as my point on the IC has been proven I wanted to know your opinion on those RCs who deny the current pope.
Praise be to God! A new follower of Christ is cause for rejoicing!
The councils you noted recognized the canon in existence but did not declare the canon.
“In his announcement I see a reference to Hinduism along with some comments on Christ. I see quotes from people but none from Scripture.”
He’s a newborn. Those old influences will take awhile to fade away, and hopefully it is replaced with solid studying of the Bible.
The Christian looking at the casket would have said “He probably wished he knew Jesus.”
I do hope Rob comes to a saving faith in Christ, and only Christ. But that’s not in Roman Catholicism when examined closely.

You have proven nothing; you continue to post falsehood.
Discussing a different subject with you will only serve as an occasion of sin for you.
I therefore bid you Good Day.
Hi.
A Roman Catholic here.
What do you think of the following scenario...
The caca has hit the fan. Everything has gone crazy and you are going to have to make a decision...
Stand and fight or run?
You have dug your foxhole for three people. There is incoming on your position. Three guys are seeking what little cover there is. One is a Jew, one is a Protestant and one is a Muslim.
Who do you let survive?

Rob has a lot to get straight. We don't give ourselves forgiveness...it is a gift from God.
And, the Bible teaches that not all will be free, however he's defined that.
I've given you ROMAN CATHOLIC sources which denies Scriptural support for the Immaculate Conception....all you've given is stamping feet like a toddler who isn't getting his way.
I would also theorize the Jew and the Protestant will have more in common than the Muslim will.
And I would let a RC in the foxhole btw. Both the RC and the Jew need witnessing to and conversion to Christianity.
There have been some, though it is a small number, on these threads who've advocated a return to those days.
Recall it was Roman Catholicism who made the Jews and Muslims wear ID on their clothing so they could be identified.
Canon 68 (Ut Iudaei discernantur a christianis in habitu or That Jews should be distinguished from Christians in their dress): Mandated a special dress code for Jews and Saracens to distinguish them from Christians so that no Christian shall come to marry them ignorant of who they are. Fourth Council of the Lateran 1213-1215
To my knowledge these canons have not been overturned.
Thanks for responding.
