16. And David was succeeded by Solomon, who said, “O people! We have been taught the language of birds, and been given everything ˹we need˺. This is indeed a great privilege.”
17. Solomon’s forces of jinn, humans, and birds were rallied for him, perfectly organized.
18. And when they came across a valley of ants, an ant warned, “O ants! Go quickly into your homes so Solomon and his armies do not crush you, unknowingly.”
19. So Solomon smiled in amusement at her words, and prayed, “My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You have blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please you. Admit me, by Your mercy, into ˹the company of˺ Your righteous servants.”
20. ˹One day˺ he inspected the birds, and wondered, “Why is it that I cannot see the hoopoe? Or could he be absent?
21. I will surely subject him to a severe punishment, or ˹even˺ slaughter him, unless he brings me a compelling excuse.”
22. It was not long before the bird came and said, “I have found out something you do not know. I have just come to you from Sheba with sure news.
23. Indeed, I found a woman ruling over them,1 who has been given everything ˹she needs˺, and who has a magnificent throne.
24. I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah. For Satan has made their deeds appealing to them—hindering them from the ˹Right˺ Way and leaving them unguided—
25. so they do not prostrate to Allah, Who brings forth what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you ˹all˺ conceal and what you reveal.
In An-Naml 18–19 it says that as Solomon approached an ant exclaimed "O ants, enter your dwellings lest Solomon and his armies crush you without even noticing it! To which Solomon answered laughing “My Lord, arouse me to be thankful for Thy favour wherewith Thou hast favoured me and my parents, and to do good that shall be pleasing unto Thee, and include me in (the number of) Thy righteous slaves”.

In Surah Saba 12–14 the qur’an says Allah gave Solomon super-natural powers; ”Solomon possessed the wind; it would blow for a month in one direction and then blow back for [another] month. We melted down a font of brass for him. There were some sprites who worked in front of him by his Lord's permission, and We let any of them who wavered from Our command taste torment from the Blaze. They worked away for him just as he wished on shrines and statues, bowls as big as troughs and built-in cauldrons: "Give thanks, O House of David!" Yet few of My servants are grateful.” And finally, it says that Solomon died standing upright resting on his staff; the only way the jinn who were slaving for him found this out was because a worm gnawed at it causing him to finally fall over…and the jinn were really upset for all the slave labor they put in while he was actually dead.
Also key point -- the "Jesus" of the Quran is "Isa" and does and says things that aren't in the Bible - like making clay birds come alive and also says he isn't god.
So when talking to a mohammedan about Jesus, remember that he is talking about a completely different character - an 8th century character

I wonder when this translation was made. I find it interesting that they are using archaic pronouns. Is it an old translation, or are they trying to sound ‘Bibley’?
Having deployed over to Middle East and North Africa many times I agree with you. The media and others defer to Islam as a religion of peace and even when an individual commits a violent act and claims doing it for Islam or allah they go to response is always, but Islam is a religion of peace, really why did you do this….., must be mentally ill(which I don’t entirely disagree with)
But I have studied islam, read the koran, studied the history of Muhammad, the creation of islam, how it grew, and expanded (hint always through violence), what are its own stated goals(Another other hint not good for “non-believers”)
What amazes ma and concerns me is how this “religion “ is treats so differently, the left will take money from Muslim sources, elect Muslims, and discount their behaviors which would not be tolerated here and say something like it’s their culture…), but also how so many christian leaders namely the pope who say ridiculous things like islam and Christianity are the same…
As you said Muhammad including Jesus and there is even a book on Mary, but that was fine to sudo incorporate existing religious doctrine to a point.
If I could meet the pope I would ask him does he see a difference between Jesus the prophet and Jesus the son of God…. And if not please explain

There is no actual difference between “ muslim extremist” and orthodox muslim, or muslim. What they say or how the act or even what they believe may not, but as I say about Christians. You can’t pick and choose from the Bible what you want to believe and call yourself a Christian, you can and many do, but that does t change the facts
