Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem
John 20
The Purpose of John’s Gospel
30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe[b] that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem
Our Lord and Heavenly Father
You are The Truth,
And, By Definition, There Is Only One Truth,
And Everything Else is a Fantasy,
A Legend, or a Lie.
The Truth is Eternal,
It Does Not Change With the Fashions of Time.
You Are The same Yesterday, Today, and Forever,
And We can Look To You With Confidence,
and Not Be Moved from The Integrity of The Truth.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Many of us "Older Folks" remember the TV Series "The Twilight Zone" with great fondness. When asked for a favorite episode, many will reply Time Enough At Last. The Survivor of a Nuclear Holocaust finds himself totally surrounded by books that he never had a chance to read. He gleefully begins to gorge on this feast of information...and then manages to break his thick glasses. Now he is TOTALLY alone, without even the ability to read all the millions of books that are surrounding him.
John the Evangelist tells us bluntly that all the books in the world can't contain the Story of Jesus. Even though the Bible is the most well-documented piece of Ancient Literature in the World, with the oldest and most numerous early manuscripts that agree with one another, and believed (in varying degrees) by most Christians and Jews to be the Word of God, the Full Knowledge of Our Creator will not be realized until we see Him Face-to-Face (1 Corinthians 13). There aren't enough books in the world that can do that.
The Last Day of the Last Holy Day of the Jewish Calendar is called "Simchat Torah". (The JOY of the Torah). It is the Day on which the Annual Reading of the First Five Books of the Bible (The Torah) comes to completion. It is a wonderful holiday in Israel that involves dancing in the streets holding aloft the Holy Scrolls, which are exquisitely robed and crowned with jewels for the occasion. I was in Jerusalem for Simchat Torah back in 1984, and it was deeply moving to see people so in love with the Word of God.
This year, however, Israel was attacked on this beautiful Holy Day, much like the attack fifty years ago on Yom Kippur. Because of that, Israel is now in a state of war. I could go into a big diatribe about the situation, but, instead, I ask you to join me in prayer today for Israel. I pray that they will be victorious, and that God will be given the Glory.
For the record, there were several people who felt that something BIG was going to happen during this year's High Holy Days. While predictions often fail, this one hit home.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.

Prayers for all of Israel at this time, during this awful week. Prayers for the families impacted by the assault from Hamas.

The Word of God is Jesus. I’m just realizing this latest attack is truly a war against Christ Himself. Just wow.
