That's because they are all in on it.
If the powers that be wanted it stopped, they would stop it.
Look how efficient they are about going after conservatives and other law abiding citizens who they target.
It's not that they can't but that they won't.
All true, and yet, there's another dark force at work here. That force is addiction. When the powers or ruling class, set out to dumb down, debauch, and demoralize Americans by the end of WWII, little did they know that they would become ensnared as well. For instance, one cannot lie to others without becoming a liar and then falling even further, become a pathological liar who lies all the time and without rhyme or reason.
So when our ruling class set out on a course over these many years of deceiving and seducing Americans into sin, not only did they finally succumb to pathological lying but to the perversions they peddled as well. With respect to perversion the porn they peddled addicted them as well. The downward falling stages of porn addiction finally meant they could no longer receive the fix they needed from using adults, so they turned to using children...and babies.
If Augustine returned to our time he would describe the depraved condition of our land exactly as he described Rome just before it imploded. He would observe that the citizens at every level of society, from commoner to king have as many 'rulers' as they have vices.
