Bucktown Halloween display in New Orleans leaves residents fuming over display feature a headless Jesus and tombstone reading 'Hillary's emails'

A two-story display of a blood-stained Satan holding the severed head of Jesus accompanied by a tombstone reading 'Hillary's emails' has sparked outrage in the Bucktown neighborhood of New Orleans.

Vic Miorana has spent months and thousands of dollars on the tombstones and bloodied body organs, but some nearby residents said he crossed the line.

'We have a little religious theme here. We wanted to make people scared, to make them a little uncomfortable,' Miorana said in WWL-TV's interview.

He said he would not remove the display, despite threats and complaints from neighbors.

'It's horrible to our religion, it's blasphemy, it's not right,' one resident said. 'Any other religion would have a problem with this.'

Miorana's girlfriend of four years and the mother of his child broke up with him because of the threats, he said.

Neighbors in Bucktown were shocked and called to remove the decoration. Rachel Flanagan was alerted by her two children, who attend a Catholic high school nearby.

'It's appalling,' Flanagan told NOLA.com after her children showed her photos.

Miorana countered back: 'To them it's blasphemy, but blasphemy is not illegal.'

'This is not real...We have no bias against the church,' he said, adding he was also raised Catholic.

So why doesn't he do it to Mohammad?

Please if you live in this area keep complaining.

in all honesty, N.O. is a very spiritually dark and paganistic culture. So it’s really no surprise given the present state of Spiritual decline in America.

We’re at the point where anything not illegal is assumed to be OK. After all, if it wasn’t acceptable there would be a law against it, right? That’s how you get millions of pages of laws.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Here’s something surprising I read in the article: the man has a Trump 2024 flag and a flag saying bleep Joe Biden in his yard as well.

My son and his wife lived in the French Quarter until moving to Metairie this summer. We visited NOLA twice. Never going back. A dark place. I can get good Cajun and Creole food in Texas.

Tell me all about it? Ever been here? When? How long? What did you see? Did you get all your information off of FR?

I have live in New Orleans all my life. Family is there. Went to school there, Worked there. I know way more than you about what stinks here. I also know what’s extraordinary and precious. You’re just a blowhard with a keyboard.

“...in all honesty, N.O. is a very spiritually dark and paganistic culture.”

I will take the bright spiritual light of New Orleans any day of the year, from Ash Wednesday to Mardi Gras Day, and throw in St. Patrick’s Day in the Irish Channel and Christmas on St. Charles and Saint Louis Cathedral. And you can toss in a Garden District Halloween.

Mardi Gras is a *Christian holiday and cultural phenomenon that dates back thousands of years to pagan spring and fertility rites. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, mainly those with large Roman Catholic populations, on the day before the religious season of Lent begins.2 Mardi Gras refers to events of the Carnival celebration, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday, which is known as Shrove Tuesday. The French name Mardi Gras means “Fat Tuesday,” reflecting the practice of the last night of eating rich, fatty foods before the ritual Lenten sacrifices and fasting of the Lenten season.0 The principal Carnival celebration is in New Orleans, Louisiana, which opens on Twelfth Night (Epiphany, January 6) and climaxes with the Mardi Gras festivities commencing 10 days before Shrove Tuesday.

* (I would however argue against the claim that Mardi Gras is a “ Christian holiday. Since its without Biblical support.)

Here is another example of “Mardi Gras
