He was absolutely speaking to His Apostles.
If He is going to “come back” and take us with Him, where He is that means some type of movement on His part.
He doesn’t move every time a Saint dies - refer to St. Stephen in Acts 7:55.
Something else is happening with what Jesus is talking about.
See my 41.
And try to peel off the veneer of your pre-conceived conclusions. Let the words read themselves.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 answers your second question.
Bmk
“mental masturbation..”
Yes this sounds like a topic definitely not for you. Carry on!
Then why do you do it?
You keep coming back for more.
True, no one knows the DAY or HOUR.
But when the disciples asked Him for signs of His near return He answered them in Matthew 24 and gave it to them. We can know the general time frame. Days and hours are specific.
My motive is to help folks see the follies of predictions—false predictions (as correctly noted by others in this thread) have made a lot of people miserable.
So why to rapture deniers always love to presume the worst about people and on that basis falsely accuse them of believing and doing things they don't do?
It's called projection on your part. We don't all act like you would if you believed in the rapture.
Who here is predicting the day and hour?
“Who here is predicting the day and hour?”
Does “soon” count....
;-)
Theres some evidence for pretrib and theres some evidence for people going through it. Certainly wouldn’t mind it being pre-trib. Wouldn’t mind if it was tonight. :)
The poster called “Murder of Crows” called it mental masturbation to try to figure it all out.
That is the epitome of laziness for somebody who claims to be a Christian. You read and study the Bible to know what The Lord wants for your life.
Unbelievable the responses you get from folks who chide us for actually believing The Word of God.
I can easily see how the AntiChrist is going to have many allies on the right who wish to kill believers. You see it here on FR.
The anger is palpable on this very thread.
The dude is going to be waiting for the rapture forever. In fact when Christ returns and the rapture hasn’t happened he’s going to fight against Christ because the mythical rapture that doesn’t exist biblically will have fooled him into believing that Christ is the anti-Christ.
We will know the season, we will see signs
But we don’t know the exact day and time
Its like you know when the seasons are changing but its never really exactly the same time/way every year when the weather switches)
But you can know seasons are changing/coming just by observing whats going on around you, thats Jesus’ point
Oh we get your wisdom too.
Always enlightening to see a post from DouglasKC that drops the IQ ranking to 20.
I have to say, out of all your threads, these are the ones I look forward to the most by Daymond Duck.
I posted my thoughts as to the timing of the Rapture on a previous thread of yours today and it was very similar to his reasoning here:

“If I am correct about these three beliefs, it means the Rapture will take place a minimum of three and one-half years before the Mark of the Beast (global ID, cashless society, forcing people to take the Mark, etc.) and perhaps more than that (because there could be a gap between the Rapture and the Tribulation Period).
The globalists’ goal is to establish a world government by 2030 or sooner.
If their world government begins in 2030, the Rapture would be between now and 2030.”

These are reassuring words.
I see you didn’t answer the second question I asked.
Jesus isn’t talking about death.
He’s gathering His People.
He doesn’t move when His Children die. I gave you the verse for St. Stephen when he was martyred.
Did Jesus move there?
If you want another example see Luke 16:22 where the dead saint is carried away by Angels.
Jesus moves in John 14:3. Why is that?
I think some tend to cling to this world so much that they don’t want to think of letting go.
1 John 2:15
King James Version
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
