Ever notice, too, that when Catholics find a doctrine they wish to defend with Scripture, they go to great lengths to appeal to the Greek, like with Mary being graced like no one else?
But when someone brings up *petra* and *Petros* and appeals to the Greek, suddenly the Greek is of no consequence?
What else does one expect from HD?
Same with the brothers, and sisters of Jesus. Suddenly, the Greek doesnโt mean what the Greek means. Then I saw someone post that said Joseph was a widower, who already had James and Jude, before he married Mary. LOL. Where on earth ๐ did that come from. Itโs hogwash. Mary and Joseph did the evil deed, they had sex, resulting in a bunch of kids. ๐๐
I forgot to mention. I took a few Greek words and phrases to my Greek friend, here in this south sea island paradise. He also knows Hebrew. He said the Greek words for brothers and sisters, mean exactly that. Indicating all from the same mother. They were not cousins of Jesus. Itโs a completely different Greek word, but hey, we can ignore the true meaning of the Greek, if it suits us, right? Uh, no, we canโt. Greek is one of the most precise languages on earth. It says what it means. I am pretty sure that is why God chose Greek, because of its accuracy. ๐๐๐
But even there Rome's appeal to the Greek fails as we've demonstrated too many times before.
Roman Catholicism cannot appeal to the Greek for any of their Marian dogmas. Not one.
