I hated going to confession, especially when the priest started asking me questions about my racy sins. I lied to him, even if that was a mortal sin of sacrilege. Actually, what I think is a mortal sin of sacrilege, is someone who thinks they have the power, to forgive mortal sins of sacrilege. 😂 It’s blasphemous. Since we know only God can forgive sins, anyone claiming they can forgive sins, is claiming to be God. That is dangerous territory.
