Thank you for posting this. It touches on some things I’ve pondered over the years, about the nature of the antichrist. I’ve also long thought that Sheen was a very wise man well worth heeding (and I say that as a non-Catholic).

I used to listen Bishop Sheen when I was young (tv). He was an impressive fellow. I am reminded of a quote by another philosopher H. L. Mencken “The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it. Power is what all messiahs really seek: not the chance to serve.”

Fulton J. Sheen was a Teilhardian evolutionist and a big supporter of the Vatican II changes.
Also while he had been very traditional and conservative, in the 1960's he suddenly became a leftist hippie (see his interview with William F. Buckley Jr.).
It's amazing that so many people think of him as the ultimate Traditional Catholic.
