🤣
I may have relatives that attend one of these churches.
This church developed a Bible app for cell phones 📱📱📱📱📱📱📱.
This was several years ago.
Some of these churches have coffee in the lobby.
I should have gone, get a big cup of coffee then had my pic taken with Blue the RAPTOR, then left.
I love Jurassic Park but I’m not down with that these churches are doing.
Are you near one?
Actually No and Thanks be to God.
One of them is not far from where my parents and I lived when I was a kid.
A loooooooong time ago.
But not in a galaxy far, far away.
Though it seems like it now.
Thanks for posting that link. It’s valuable to know the essence of a church and its way of life. Stereotypes are deadly. Methods vary; but doctrinal basis is fundamental; and I see nothing wrong with the doctrinal basis here.
“We will do anything short of sin” (to further the Gospel) says it all. If someone judges their methods as being sinful, I’d encourage a closer look at Romans 14.
Their novel approaches are not my cup of tea; but look what Paul said in Philippians 1:18.
As the saying goes: what you do to get them there you have to do to keep them there.
In that case, yeah, they might be in trouble if they didn’t get permission, but really, it’s not likely Universal (I think that’s who owns the IP) is not going to sue a church over a one-time event.
If it was something they did every month, then I’m sure it would merit a “cease and desist” letter, but there’s no point in even doing that if the church has already desisted.
Oh yes.
Remember the parable Jesus told and used hand puppets, funny voices, and costumes so it would be entertaining for the folks? Kinda like a Monty Python skit.
:/
Their doctrine seems pretty solid.
At least it wasn’t a “Jurassic Pork” trans church service!😎
