Plumb is an American contemporary ‘Christian’ music (CCM) band formed in 1997 and fronted by Tiffany Arbuckle Lee. Starting as a quintet, the band would part ways in 1999 but Arbuckle would keep the name, turning it into her solo project where she would release her next six albums.
Plumb gained popularity in the Christian music scene with their alternative rock and electronic-influenced sound. She had heartfelt and meaningful lyrics, especially with the critically acclaimed album Candycoatedwaterdrops, which won the 2000 Gospel Music Association Dove Award for “Modern Rock Album of the Year.”
Some of her well-known songs include “Stranded,” “God-Shaped Hole,” “Damaged,” “Sink N Swim,” “In My Arms,” “Crazy About You, “and “Need You Now (How Many Times).”
Like many professing Christian bands before her, such as Amy Grant, Jennifer Knapp, Jars of Clay, DC Talk’s Kevin Max, Relient K, Switchfoot, The Rend Collective, Five Iron Frenzy, and Sara Groves, Arbuckle deconstructed her faith over the years and wound up fully LGBTQ-affirming, joining the aforementioned music groups in their disdain for God’s word.
Her deconstruction has damaged more than just her views on biblical sexuality. Last year, following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, she castigated those who were “happy” about it, saying “A number of years ago I may have celebrated with you but I have now been exposed to some different experiences and stories and perspectives that God is using to grow me to being a more welcoming and gracious and tolerant and loving person…”
Most recently, she attended a concert by Derek Webb, the former Caedmon’s Call singer-turned-cross-dressing atheist. Webb was releasing his first “Christian and gospel’ album in ten years and was joined by drag queen Flamy Grant, who he collaborated with on the trans-affirming track ‘Boys Will Be Girls.’ Plumb joined them in a snapshot, praising them and basking in the privilege of being in the company of scoffers.
What a sad turn of events.
Then they are not Christians.

Pray for them to be saved, for real.

I didn’t know about Rend Collective. More and more, praying that the Bride of Christ turns away from CCM.

What qualifications do they have to speak about any religion with authority? Do they officially represent any church or have theological training to where they have a clue?
They’re just frigging musicians, and just like all other artists should shut their stupid mouth and sing. I also don’t care what their feelings are regards the war in Ukraine, nuclear power, climate change, or if I should use one sheet of paper to wipe my ass.

Almost makes you wish these celebrities had an accidental wardrobe failure or sex tape go public, instead of telling you how to live or trying to redefine morality.
Because they explicitly label themselves as a “Christian” group when they’re promoting an agenda that favors its destruction. It’s not just hypocritical, it’s evil. If even one individual (youngster) is misled by this “band”, it should cause us to care enough to speak out and denounce them.
The old Amy Grant bait and switch. Need a break to start out? Be a Christian band. Want praise and money from secular media? Drop that pesky Christian stuff.
Another group of unbelievers. Forgive them, please, for they know not what they are doing. Eternity apart from God, the life giver, is going to be unbearable.

If they are going to represent a certain idea/product/group, they need to do it in earnest. Trying to self promote by damaging the reputation of those they allegedly represent is a scumbag move. Even if they feel that way, shut up and play along, or move on, but do not damage the reputation of those you represent.
