Hebrew Matthew And The Brit Chadashah
Mordechai ben Avram
Well, well, as it turns out a few Jews preserved an original Hebrew copy of the Gospel of Matthew. See: Romans 3:1-2.
Acts 3:20 And he shall send Yeshua HaMoshiach which before was preached unto you: 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which ELoHIM hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Zephaniah 3:9 “For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of YHVH, To serve Him with one accord.”
That language is Hebrew!
The testimony supporting Matthew's Hebrew Gospel
There is abundant and early evidence that Matthew wrote a Gospel in the Hebrew language. Jerome, writing in the fourth century, is quoted in the reference edition of the New World Translation as follows:
"Matthew, who is also Levi, and who from a publican came to be an apostle, first of all composed a Gospel of Christ in Judaea in the Hebrew language and characters for the benefit of those of the circumcision who had believed. Who translated it after that in Greek is not sufficiently ascertained. Moreover, the Hebrew itself is preserved to this day in the library at Caesarea, which the martyr Pamphilus so diligently collected. I also was allowed by the Nazarenes who use this volume in the Syrian city of Beroea to copy it."[6]
[6] New World Translation Reference Edition, 1984, p. 1564.
There is no reason to doubt the veracity of Jerome's statement. In all likelihood, Matthew,[7] a Jew employed by Rome as a tax collector, was capable of writing in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. It is certainly probable that he wrote a Gospel account to his fellow Israelites in the spoken language of the day. It is entirely possible that the Gospel we have today was a translation[8] by Matthew himself from his Hebrew Gospel. Jerome's statement implies that the Hebrew text he copied was identifiable by him as a parallel of the Greek Gospel of Matthew.

John 19:20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Yeshua was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
The two witness rule!
John 8:17 In your own Torah it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true.
See: Acts 3:21 and Psalm 110.

The above video contains much information from the Hebrew Matthew, I’m posting a few examples from it.
Translation of Matthew 23:2-3 from Hebrew Matthew.
The Pharisees and sages sit upon the seat of Moshe, Therefore all that he says [Moshe מֹשֶׁה ] to you, diligently do, but according to their reforms [takanot] and their precedents [ma’asin] do not do, because they talk but do not do.
KJV
Matthew 23:2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
The Hebrew Matthew makes perfect sense, unlike the Greek/English translation.
Another example…
*****
KJV
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the Torah, till all things be accomplished.
Hebrew Matthew
Matthew 5:17 At that time Yeshua said to his disciples: Do not think that I came to annul the Torah, but to fulfill it.
18 Truly I say to you that until heaven and earth (depart) not one letter or dot shall be abolished from the Torah or the Prophets, because all will be fulfilled.
You can keep the ‘jot or tittle’ whatever they are?
Now onto John chapter 1
From the video, Hebrew Luke and John found in Vatican Junk Box – NehemiasWall.com
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUOJMopNKrI
Nehemia Gordon found the first page (in Hebrew) of John chapter 1 in the Vatican online archives and this one I was very interested in because I knew the Greek/English could not be correct.
Nehemia Gordon’s translation
John 1
In the beginning was the word and the word was next to ELoHIM. This was in the beginning next to ELoHIM. All things were made through him and without him nothing was made from all that was. In him was was life and life was the light of men and the light was shining forth in the darkness and the darkness could not contain it…
KJV
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
The Hebrew John agrees with Sefer Yetzirah chapter 1. and Jeremiah 16:19-21.

As I’ve mentioned above there’s lot’s more information in the videos, check them both out.
As Nehemia Gordon states… “ When you realize that, you can come to really no other conclusion that this was written in Hebrew.”
And I agree, those who still cling to the lie of a Greek NT have left themselves behind.
I find it quite refreshing to be in the restoration business!
And if you’re curious regarding where are the rest of the Hebrew books could be, I’d look at the title of the second video.

For example…
Matthew 10:5 These twelve Yeshua sent out with the following instructions: ‘Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim this message: “The kingdom of heaven has come near.
Matthew 15:24 He answered, ‘I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.’
Ezekiel 34:30 Then they will know that I, YHVH ELoHIM, am with them and that they, the Israelites, are my people, declares the Sovereign Lord. 31 You are my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, and I am YHVH ELoHYHM, declares ADoNI YHVH.”’
Isaiah 51:16 And I have put My words in thy mouth, And have covered thee in the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, And lay the foundations of the earth, And say unto Zion: 'Thou art My people.'
—> It is certainly probable
—> It is entirely possible
—> Jerome’s statement implies that the Hebrew text he copied was identifiable by him as a parallel of the Greek Gospel of Matthew.
this is pretty thin gruel.
More messyonic contortions, using Hebrew to make it seem more authentic. That’s like wallpapering over a dimmocrap speech.
Everything except a pesky MSS ...
Sorry the truth bothers you. I await an angry response.
The "truth"? The twisted contorted amended lies crafted by messyonics to try to convince uneducated Jews that they have something worth having? Don't make me laugh.
Whoops. You already did. Go peddle your puke elsewhere.
Your "Hebrew" translations cannot be said to be inspired, were/are they?
The Good News is Fake Nooz and has been for the past 1900 or so years.
Go learn Torah from Rabbi Tovia Singer in order to find out just how incorrect the NT is.

When someone cites a Jehovah’s Witness bible as a source for a quote from Jerome is am suspect. What work of Jerome is this quote supposed to come from?
