to pray to anyone other than God?

I can think of only one reason. You don’t know the Father.
Ah, but it is not really praying we are told. It is like asking someone to pray for you.
You get down on your knees and can talk to Mary or the Father. There is a choice there. Which is obviously better?
I’d like to see anywhere in Scripture where prayer beads are instructed to be used.
You didn’t see the verse in Acts where Peter stood up and prayed, “Father Abraham and Mary, Mother of God, put in a good word for us! Use your influence to gain us God’s blessing...”
