Yes, the sisters of Jesus were there too, and it is certainly possible, they thought he was nuts, plus, they may have thought he was bringing much unwanted attention to the family, from the Pharisees, and maybe even the Romans.
The Scriptures say even His brothers didn’t believe in Him. Later, at least two of them did, though I hope all the the brothers and sisters of Jesus believed in Him, to the saving of the soul.
James, one of the other brothers of Jesus, was the head of the Jerusalem church, not Peter. That might be a tough pill to swallow, for some, but I just say, oh well, I am not that worried about it.

Mark 6:3-5
3 Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? Aren’t His sisters here with us as well?” And they took offense at Him.
4 Then Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own household is a prophet without honor.”
5 So He could not perform any miracles there, except to lay His hands on a few of the sick and heal them.
