In this video we discuss why all Christians should pray the Rosary.
And that is only an assumption.
It's ludicrous that Jesus would be swayed by anyone into acting in a way outside the will of God.
“ I would strongly disagree with any such objections. Catholics and Protestants both get all the important things right. Sure, there is some disagreements around the edges. That is to be expected.
Anyone who demands 100% agreement from his fellow Christians would soon find himself in a church consisting of one member.”
You are getting it right.
Everyone wants to argue things wars have been fought over.
Other fish to fry
Christ is King. That makes Mary the Queen Mother.
The point of asking Mary to intercede for us is the assumption that Jesus may be swayed by His mother’s request, as He was at the wedding feast where he performed His first miracle.
Moses has a track record.
You’ve been shown wrong on a number of your posts so far….why should he think you’re right on this?
This occurs at the end of John's Gospel. Jesus three times asks Peter to tend to His sheep. Three times, because Peter had denied Him three times.
Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith,
but as it were by the works of the law.
For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
Who said it would be "outside the will of God"?
Intercessionary prayer is part of God's plan.
It’s called necromancy. It’s forbidden.
Sure it's happening. She's being called the *Queen Mother* and treated as if she can answer prayer and influence God. And she's being called *Mother of God*, and that puts her in a level above God.
God is eternal. He does not have a mother.
Since Catholics by their own teaching believe that GOD has a mother, they clearly their god is not the eternal God of Scripture, the one without beginning or end.
Another assumption on your part. At the wedding at Cana some ECFs contend Mary was doing the very thing in your post: asking for something not in accordance with His will. Several attribute this haste as a sin on her part. And with Mary being human, she will be flawed and this prone to possible error.
Why do you all need tools in the first place?
Isn't simply asking like Jesus commanded enough for Catholics?
Here is an old joke: What happens when two Jews get together? You get three opinions. What happens when three Baptists get together? You get two congregations. What happens when four Methodists get together? Nothing, but they eat pretty well.
If you are not in heaven with Jesus when you die, you are in BIG trouble.
Although, Catholics convincing themselves that hell is really purgatory and someday they'll et out may be the only thing that wards off total insanity for a while, until they realize they really are in hell forever.
No He didn't. He came to set us free from the bondage of legalism.
And the only things the church ever made a decree over was in Acts 15 at the Council at Jerusalem, and that was under the holy Spirit's direct direction.
Colossians 2:20-23 If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations— “Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch” (referring to things that all perish as they are used)—according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.
Touche’
No, it doesn't.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper, but this is an excellent example of how Catholicism elevates Mary to equality with the Godhead.
We are not righteous without the righteousness of Christ credited to our account>
And nowhere does it say that HE respects people who we look at and see as righteous.
That’s a great deal of rationalization with NO Scriptural support.
The only identifiers used for Mary in Scripture is *mother of JESUS*, so as to distinguish her from the other plethora of Mary’s mentioned in the Bible.
And that is the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, not man’s conjecture and rationalization.
