That in itself is very telling.
I’m betting they were also heavily into Replacement Theology (another doctrine of demons). Just a hunch?

They weren't into Replacement theology but just generally indifferent to Biblical theology period.
On a different matter. Here's a piece of news that I'd like to share with you, something that's been perplexing in my study of the Last Days.
And . . . Steve Turley (unknowingly) broke YouTube info regarding it. The issue regards the focus of two chapters in Revelation (17 and 18) about Antichrist's world capitol, the great city of Babylon.
I know, what??? Nothing but sand and camels, right?
Nothing vaguely resembles the fantastic city conforming to what Revelation describes. (PLEASE don't say it is the Vatican which has a minuscule of the vast commercial importance of the Revelation description.)
The World Mourns Babylon’s Fall
Regarding its greatness:
Rev. 18:9 “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, 10 standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’
Now, take a look at Turley's clip:

It is also of no little interest that Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud is the only major figure who has made peaceful overtures to Israel and is considered their friend in a military alliance against Iran.
