The Cathedral of St. John the Divine is the mother church of the Episcopal Diocese of New York and the seat of its bishop.the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, or St. John's Cathedral for short, after the Revelation by John of Patmos (also called "John the Divine").
Apostates are everywhere.
“God resists the proud”
Episcopal Church USA is gayer than a three-dollar bill.
And, sadly, perhaps 30-40% of Catholic bishops (and *all* of Bergoglio’s appointed cardinals in this country) would like nothing better that if the Catholic Church remade itself in the Episcopalians’ image.
If something isn’t done to stop this madness, it will eventually result in the demolition of these great structures.
What do they stand for, if not God’s word, which calls homosexuality an abomination?
Nothing. And once that is believed, there will be no further use for them, else they might rekindle the debate.
That is the exact plan.
I thought the Episcopal Church was dying... Isn’t this a Cathedral that was built during the time people were joing the Episcopal Church? Not leaving it in droves.
The Cathedral was built during the time when people were joining the Episcopal Church... Not in our time when people are leaving in droves.
I'm sure it would make a fine mosque or drag queen show cabaret.
I bugged out about 15 years ago. Apostate Church.
you are correct
The homo agenda is designed to not only have our churches literally destroyed, but ultimately have the Bible outlawed as hate speech.
We are well on our way, when people bow before gay loving politicians as their new idols.
You left when there were ~ 2 million attendees
Looks like it is below 1.5 million now and I think there will be a sudden drop 9ff when older people die.
I kind of think that cliff will happen in 2030. What do you think?
They’ll want to raze them to the ground. Can’t have anyone even contemplating what they once stood for.
Happy to say that my family left last year.
Its a beautiful building, built by rich and devout New Yorkers from an earlier time.
Its hardly a religious institution though. I was there just before covid and they had an “exhibit” of a huge metal dragon sculpture, hanging over the entire nave.
Pagans, they are
Many old and beautiful churches have already suffered the fate of being turned into mosques and bars (and worse). The new owners don't want them torn down because they delight in committing sacrilege and blasphemy in what was once a holy house of God.
The month of June sucks.
Can we take at least a one day break from this insanity on June 6?
