Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Luke 11

The Lamp of the Body

33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. 34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy,[g] your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy,[h] your body also is full of darkness. 35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,
Who Art in Heaven,
Blessed Be Your Glorious Name Forever!
We Come Into Your Holy Presence
With Praise and Singing.
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God.

Ancient of Days,
Rock of Ages,
LORD of Hosts,
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
and Omnipresent,
You Know the end from the beginning,
And the beginning from the end.
Because You ARE The Beginning and The End,
The Aleph~Tav
The Alpha and The Omega,
The GREAT I AM.
You Are The Author of Life,
Our Precious Creator,
You formed us in the secret places of our mother's womb,
And have a perfect plan for each and every one of us.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

Not far from where I live is a seaside prominence called Brant Rock. It currently serves as a Campground, and is crowded with RV's. In the midst of the rows of Campers and Trailers is a strange monument that looks like a truncated radio tower. In fact, that's exactly what it is.

It was from this tower that the first wireless voice broadcast was made on December 24, 1906. Here is an excerpt from an article from a local newspaper:

"... first a short speech by me saying what we were going to do, then some phonograph music... Then came a violin solo by me ... which I sang one verse of, in addition to playing the violin, though the singing, of course, was not very good. Then came the Bible text, Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men of goodwill, and we finally wound up by wishing them a Merry Christmas and then saying that we proposed to broadcast again on New Year's Eve."

A monument stands on the spot, but is generally unknown to the public. Kids in the Campground climb on it, and have no idea of its significance as they play their online video games, text their friends, and talk on their Smart Phones. Yet, Reginald Fessendon started it all, with a Quote from the Gospel of Luke.

He did this from a Radio Tower, firmly planted on a Rock, for all the World to hear. He was little recognized in his own time, and barely remembered now. Yet, his inventions live on and are used all over the world. He was a man who "Let His Light Shine", and we have all benefited from it.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 104

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul.
O Lord my God, you are very great.
You are clothed with honour and majesty,
2 wrapped in light as with a garment.
You stretch out the heavens like a tent,
3 you set the beams of your* chambers on the waters,
you make the clouds your* chariot,
you ride on the wings of the wind,
4 you make the winds your* messengers,
fire and flame your* ministers.

5 You set the earth on its foundations,
so that it shall never be shaken.
6 You cover it with the deep as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
7 At your rebuke they flee;
at the sound of your thunder they take to flight.
8 They rose up to the mountains, ran down to the valleys
to the place that you appointed for them.
9 You set a boundary that they may not pass,
so that they might not again cover the earth.

10 You make springs gush forth in the valleys;
they flow between the hills,
11 giving drink to every wild animal;
the wild asses quench their thirst.
12 By the streams* the birds of the air have their habitation;
they sing among the branches.
13 From your lofty abode you water the mountains;
the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.

14 You cause the grass to grow for the cattle,
and plants for people to use,*
to bring forth food from the earth,
15 and wine to gladden the human heart,
oil to make the face shine,
and bread to strengthen the human heart.
16 The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly,
the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
17 In them the birds build their nests;
the stork has its home in the fir trees.
18 The high mountains are for the wild goats;
the rocks are a refuge for the coneys.
19 You have made the moon to mark the seasons;
the sun knows its time for setting.
20 You make darkness, and it is night,
when all the animals of the forest come creeping out.
21 The young lions roar for their prey,
seeking their food from God.
22 When the sun rises, they withdraw
and lie down in their dens.
23 People go out to their work
and to their labour until the evening.

24 O Lord, how manifold are your works!
In wisdom you have made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
25 Yonder is the sea, great and wide,
creeping things innumerable are there,
living things both small and great.
26 There go the ships,
and Leviathan that you formed to sport in it.

27 These all look to you
to give them their food in due season;
28 when you give to them, they gather it up;
when you open your hand, they are filled with good things.
29 When you hide your face, they are dismayed;
when you take away their breath, they die
and return to their dust.
30 When you send forth your spirit,* they are created;
and you renew the face of the ground.

31 May the glory of the Lord endure for ever;
may the Lord rejoice in his works—
32 who looks on the earth and it trembles,
who touches the mountains and they smoke.
33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being.
34 May my meditation be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the Lord.
35 Let sinners be consumed from the earth,
and let the wicked be no more.
Bless the Lord, O my soul.
Praise the Lord!
