And scoffers like Mogger fulfill Bible Prophecy with their own words - how ironic and good job!
2 Peter 3:3-7
3 Most importantly, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 “Where is the promise of His coming?” they will ask. “Ever since our fathers fell asleep, everything continues as it has from the beginning of creation.”
But they deliberately overlook the fact that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water, 6 through which the world of that time perished in the flood. 7 And by that same word, the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
Somewhere in the Bible I remember it saying no man shall know the time of the end.
It could be anywhere from the next few minutes to billions of years from now.
I drive by a church in Calais, VT a few times a year where the Millerites gathered for the end of the world in 1843 or 1844.
It didn't. Rather sheepishly they went home.
Then there were the followers of Muggleton in the 1700s in England.
And throughout history, many end of the world preachers and cults.
He who does not learn from history is doomed to repeat it.
